  1. Yeah, my rubbing is more of a problem when/if I have a passenger. Most people around here don't want to ride in a car with no A/C, but I can't really blame them. Yeah, i'm also using the Suspension Techniques springs for a 280 on my 240 and my 280. I've heard the same on rates. I've heard the same and know of a few cars that this was done on. They've said with the setting on 4 or 5, you don't get the scrubbing unless you hit the more serious dips at higher speeds. I've seen this on a car with 17's (a member here) and on a local guy's car running 15x8s. I'll be getting them for my 240 soon. I'm planning coilovers for my 280 already. My 240 sits higher, so it's not as big of a problem. Again, car looks great and happy to know I had a little influence:mrgreen:
  2. That looks mean!! Speaking from experience, be careful with dips in the road:mrgreen:
  3. They make your brakes look tiny:mrgreen: Congrats, man. It looks really good with the 18's. That car's gonna look amazing when you're done.

  5. Beautiful Vette! It's a shame to see you looking to sell your Z. I'm also a fan of your swap and wish I had the disposable income to take it off your hands. Good luck with your sale and take care! Ryan
  6. Yeah, they're the stock studs all around. When I ordered these wheels, I opted for the tuner lugs to come with the set. They're standard tuner lugs, 12mm x 1.25mm. I've seen the same ones at Autozone/Advance. I'd be wary of the 245/50's on the rear, but that depends on your suspension. I don't mean in terms of clearance with the struts, but with scrubbing on dips in the road and whatnot. I actually wanted to get that size initially. Those are wider than what I'm using and I've taken quite a few thin rubber pieces off the sidewalls on my rear tires since this posting the pics here. Coilovers/illuminas are still on my list...
  7. She'll eventually live in a van down by the river.
  8. I've been keeping my eyes open for one of those panels, but it's been reported that they are no longer available, even from Charlie. See this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119293 If Charlie says he has any, please let us know. I'll need one, too.
  9. Nice, thanks for that link. I've been looking for an inexpensive nutsert tool.
  10. Seriously... I checked the top of that control arm at least three times. Gremlin, leprechaun... maybe your cat got out, I don't know. No problem, man. Glad to have helped! Ride height looks good and it'll still settle down more as you get the rest of the car back together. And I'm jealous of your garage.
  11. Cool site. Subscribed.. I can't tell... Does Snake Eyes have his sword in the pic on that page?
  12. I'm wanting to do the same dash/console swap in my 280, so looking forward to any details.
  13. And wheel chocks... and something besides aluminum foil on your shifter cable...

  16. He's still in business, but he stays really busy. Give him some time (possibly a few days). He'll respond.
  17. When I purchased the adapters from Ross, they came with the appropriate new nuts and bolts to use in a small plastic bag. I did the conversion on my 240 in 2004.
  18. That's what I did for the smaller gauges. It works well. For the 5" ones you can also use velcro.
