  1. Looks great, I really like how you did the battery box. Mine needs the same thing.
  2. There are a couple differences in 240Z dashes, but they are minor and hardly noticeable. I think all 260-280Z dashes are the same, but I cant say for sure.
  3. ^Your brain on drugs AMX/Javelins are gorgeous, especially the later style like that
  4. Nobody remember the Subaru Tribeca? Those things are much uglier than my stepmothers '87 "Nova"
  5. If it has the same pistons as stock, '78s should be flats I beleive. Mine is a '75 with dished pistons, so I'm keeping my N42 head so my comp doesnt drop to a measly 7.x:1 If you turbocharged the motor in your '78, you should have no problems running stock boost on stock electronics, and no problem boosting atleast 12 with an intercooler. Oh, and it took 3-4 months of waiting and inquiring about every possible turbo parts car to find the deal I did.
  6. Which makes the NA2T swap look a whole lot better, especially when you consider it's practically a bolt on deal. I picked up two whole S130 parts cars (81 NA 5-speed, 83 Turbo auto) for 400 bucks recently. The turbo car had '72k on it. Cant beat that.
  7. The five speed was an option in 77-78, 4 speeds were standard. I believe 4 speeds were standard in 79 and perhaps 80 as well.
  8. By all means, rebuild the L26, as long as it hasnt been bored to its limits already, I dont see a problem.
  9. Chrysler Cool Vanilla? Sounds delicious! Have any pictures of this color, it sounds like what I'm looking for.
  10. Thats because there is no horsepower rating difference between any 75-78 280Z, they were all rated at 170 horsepower.
  11. I was wondering if a 240Z bumper would fit infront of that intercooler, looks great Phil
  12. That white Z is OG. The second wheel looks great, but I dont think I'd trust glue for something like that...even spaceship glue.
  13. Indeed, if your still using an AFM, make sure the boots are in good shape. I've heard that holes (which can hide in the folds of the rubber) can cause the L28 to just run out of steam around 3500-4000 rpms.
  14. Assuming rails, floors, and battery box are in good shape, I would personally estimate it to around 3500-4000. But S30s may be fetching higher prices in Chicago.
  15. I think he meant to use that pic in your sig
  16. Wouldnt sealing your airdam decrease lift?
  17. What all do you mean by NA electronics? NA ECU? NA AFM? Either way, probably not the best idea.
  18. Theres one on Ebay listed as a BRE style, but its the same style as the one above.
  19. That is indeed the same spoiler. You dont have to mold it in at all.
  20. Me aswell, I've always thought that 2+2s, when done right, can be just as sexy as 2-seaters. The longer stance and different roofline actually give the profile/rear-quarter angles abit more muscle.
  21. You could try some spray can clear, I used some on my N42 intake, worked better than I thought it would. But it was painted, not polished. I probably wouldnt risk all that hard polishing with the spray can stuff, myself.
  22. Haha, I thought the scoop was just one of those "look-at-me"s, and I hate that sorta thing.
  23. Insane, the only thing I dont absolutely love is the scoop. I wouldnt mind it, cept 'less I'm missing something, looks like everything would fit under a stock hood :/ Still, badass car.
  24. Perhaps a Subtle Z front, as you suggested before?
  25. http://www.datsunzparts.com/NewParts/summary.htm You can also get better than stock frame rails(what you referred to as guide rails) from Bad Dog Parts http://www.baddogparts.com/
