  3. I didnt read it all but ive seen TonyD say it many times before over at zcar. I stopped going to that site once i started noticing the same thing would come up every day. I really dont like how the forum is run with the whole new posts at the bottom new ones at the top. You cant really bring up an older thread and ask a question on it because no one will see it. Partly i think its the sites fault for not making it easy to search for information.

  6. Oh and that pickup is possibly done correctly. There is a company in FL that makes those. Alot of the Lawn care guys use them so they can get all the guys in one truck and then they haul a trailer Ok nevermind i looked at that truck again and thats not how the company i know of makes them lol. that is a little scary

Hey guys I had a cracked boot in one of my cv axles so i ordered all new boots and was going to tear them down and clean them up and put the boots on, But when i got them apart i noticed that they are very worn and very sloppy. So here is my question. What is my best option here. can these be "rebuilt" by having it welded up and machined down or something or should i just look for another used set? I also thought of ordering a set from autozone even though i know they wont be the correct length on one side and then just swap over my axle shaft to the bearing and carriers from the new ones. Does that make sense? If i go to the junk yard to find a set to do this with also i can get the NA Z31's also right but ill have to swap the shafts. Well I await your input. Thanks Jeff
  10. Hey austin im pretty sure position 1 is the correct way for running with the mmsports adapters. I had a set of z31 axles that i actually flipped around for a guy before i shipped them. Position 2 is how they came from the factory though.
  11. to me it sounds like you have your warm up enrichment going through both injector channels but you only have one injector channel reading off of ve table one

I took it half way apart last night and tried torquing the nut down to 25ft lbs and then put the wheel back on and torqued it down and the wobble was still there so im almost positive the wobble isnt in the wheel bearings. Im buying a whole front suspension off of a guy tomorrow that im going to rebuild with arizonazcar coilovers. Im just going to put a spacer i have in there for now till then. obvoiusly ill keep checking it every now and again till then.
  16. On a Z a worn ball-joint can not affect the wheels relationship to the strut housing. it is below the strut housing and only effects the relationship of the lower a-arm to the strut housing.
  17. A worn ball joint would not allow for the wheel to move closer to the spring perch as the ball joint is below the strut housing and doesnt effect the wheel relationship to the strut housing. well im going to go tear it apart.
  18. Yes i put new races in. I also seated them correctly. Ill try tightening them again. This is the side of the car that got damaged the most when i wrecked the car but i didnt think I actually hit the rim. I looked over the spindle when i had it apart and it looked fine. Ill mic it out when i take it apart again. Thanks for the ideas.
  19. Hey i have a weird issue. My drivers side front wheel has a little play in it. My rims which are 17x9 -13 offset rota RB's are very close to the spring perch and when i go in reverse and turn my wheel it actually rubs. Its nothing major but obviously i need to fix it. I first thought it was my wheel bearings so I took them out and replaced them with new timken ones. Torqued the nut to 25ft lbs while turning the wheel then loosened and repeated to 25ftlbs and ten loosened 60deg and then put the retainer and cotter pin on. But that didnt fix the problem. I can feel it wobble up and down a little bit when i move it by hand but i cant find where its wobbling is coming from. as in i cant find anything moving. Does anybody have any idea whats going on or what could of come loose? The only thing i can think of is that the casting around the lower strut tube came lose but i cant feel or see anything moving when i wobble it. Well thanks for your input. Maybe one of you have gone through this.
  20. Hey jeffp any idea on how long till we can buy this gasket? My MLS gasket let go and i need to replace it. Its just been on and off to many times. Well keep us updated.
