How are you torquing the head down?

Clogged exhaust. very easy to do on the supertrap muffler

I took it half way apart last night and tried torquing the nut down to 25ft lbs and then put the wheel back on and torqued it down and the wobble was still there so im almost positive the wobble isnt in the wheel bearings. Im buying a whole front suspension off of a guy tomorrow that im going to rebuild with arizonazcar coilovers. Im just going to put a spacer i have in there for now till then. obvoiusly ill keep checking it every now and again till then.

On a Z a worn ball-joint can not affect the wheels relationship to the strut housing. it is below the strut housing and only effects the relationship of the lower a-arm to the strut housing.

A worn ball joint would not allow for the wheel to move closer to the spring perch as the ball joint is below the strut housing and doesnt effect the wheel relationship to the strut housing. well im going to go tear it apart.

Yes i put new races in. I also seated them correctly. Ill try tightening them again. This is the side of the car that got damaged the most when i wrecked the car but i didnt think I actually hit the rim. I looked over the spindle when i had it apart and it looked fine. Ill mic it out when i take it apart again. Thanks for the ideas.

Hey i have a weird issue. My drivers side front wheel has a little play in it. My rims which are 17x9 -13 offset rota RB's are very close to the spring perch and when i go in reverse and turn my wheel it actually rubs. Its nothing major but obviously i need to fix it. I first thought it was my wheel bearings so I took them out and replaced them with new timken ones. Torqued the nut to 25ft lbs while turning the wheel then loosened and repeated to 25ftlbs and ten loosened 60deg and then put the retainer and cotter pin on. But that didnt fix the problem. I can feel it wobble up and down a little bit when i move it by hand but i cant find where its wobbling is coming from. as in i cant find anything moving. Does anybody have any idea whats going on or what could of come loose? The only thing i can think of is that the casting around the lower strut tube came lose but i cant feel or see anything moving when i wobble it. Well thanks for your input. Maybe one of you have gone through this.

Hey jeffp any idea on how long till we can buy this gasket? My MLS gasket let go and i need to replace it. Its just been on and off to many times. Well keep us updated.

Growing up my mom always cut the back of the turkey off when she made a turkey. One day i asked her why she did that. She replied. IDK thats how my mom always did it. I left it alone and then years later my mom was making a turkey and her mom was ther also. And my mom cut the end of the turkey off, Her mom stopped her and asked her what she was doing. and she repiled isnt that how you always did it growing up? Her mom said " oh darling, our oven was just to small to fit the whole bird in" Not really my mom but i heard it somewhere.

Talk to Derek(guy that cast his own ITB"S) on here. He actually made his own sound deadening paint using some micro spheres or something. He did his on the inside of his car but same idea. It was alot cheaper than lizard skin also.

If you look closely you can see that its actually on blocks so the suspension is at full droop. So i think we can at least give him a break on the negative camber. But we can rub him for the 4x4 tires!!!!

I agree you need to get your eyes checked out. For future sanding i suggest wearing goggles and i also suggest getting a big fan (the one i used is3 foot tall) and have it blow the dust away from you while your sanding. Just make sure you stand upwind of your sanding.

Yeah they are pretty quiet stock. My friend has a full titanium exhaust on his. it is not very loud and has a good rumble at idle. even from in his house you can hear it from 2-3 blocks.

I got 28mpg on a road trip to MO over the 4th of july but my car is no where near stock. well i guess the engine is.

They are nice cars. A little under powered from the factory imo but still it has such a nice smooth power band. Id love to get one on a road course. My friend has one and i actually got into an accident while driving it like 3 years ago. Well i was waiting in line at a drive through at like 2 am. (every one was drunk and he was sober and his car was blocking me in. So i took it lol. But as i was saying i was in line at a drive through and a guy wanted to get out of line and he backed up right over the front of the car. Here it is after it finally got fixed with some upgrades. He went with the secound generation hid's and the new airdam and the ducted hood. He then decided to change the car from silver to this.

I say do the doors and leave the hatch. If the battery dies you just go in through the hatch.

Why not just use motorcycle ITB's from a fuel injected motorcycle? seems it would be easier.

Most of the drift guys hang it from tow hooks in the back . Im not sure i really get it either. Most of my friends that have them do it just to be silly and its on there drift cars which are beat up to begin with.

Im moving back home to Newton in a month we should get together. the wiring wouldnt be a problem. You would either need a zxt harness ecu and afm or i personally would go with stand alone. would probably even be easier in my opionon and leave you more room for upgrades

I personally think that hybridz is better than the rest of the sites on the internet and its up to the members to keep it that way. That includes taking the responsibility to keep your mouth shut when you dont actually know what your talking about. Just because your "wanting" to help doesnt mean your actually helping. Id love to help on a formula 1 racing team. But the truth of the matter is that id probably just be in the way.

I forgot about the power windows and locks. Geez. The only thing my car has on his is that its faster lol. I guess wider wheels also.
