  2. Turbo pistons and NA pistons have different ring groves. Thanks though... And my dad could actually stop by and get it if it was correct. I grew up in newton. Was always in wichita.

  4. LOL I just hadnt seen it. Im not on as much as I used to be. I work all the time and then the rest of my time is going into getting another project running that i picked up last week. Oh and then i still need to rebuild a zxt motor for my car as I'm running on 5 cylinders at the moment lol.

  6. Hey Derek its looking amazing. Id have to say i would run your injector harness a little different also. You could hide it much better. I think i saw your relay board over by your battery in one of the pictures. You should try to run the harness under the manifold and back to the fire wall and into the hood latch brace and then to the relay board. Ive redone my injector harness this way since you've seen it and it looks so much cleaner. Obviously my relay board is under the drivers inspection lid but you get the idea. I really think you will like the look of it with out those wires there.
  7. Make sure you have the correct throw out collar in there also. I think the turbo clutch takes a thinner one than the 260 does. I had that problem. Smoked my first clutch because of it.

  9. My 260 tach did that when i first got my car. It turned out to just be a bad tach.
  10. Ive got one. It came off of a 280zxt. Idk if that makes a difference. It was on a spare motor i just bought. It appears to be in good shape. I dont have a picture right now(its over at my friends garage). Ill try to get a picture if I go over there though.
  11. Here is what i did when i was still running my e88 one of mine actually fell out luckily I noticed my oil pressure drop immediately and started looking. I took mine compleatly apart and cleaned it REALLY well with acetone. I then took jbweld and welded the whole piece back together. It held to the day i took it out. I probably put 10k on it like that. Not saying its the best but if your going to do it make sure you get it clean and get all the oil residue off before you try.

  13. They are apparently a very efficient cooler. My friend is an rx7 guy and he says that the guys that try to bling up there cars by adding an aftermarket oil cooler that there oil temps go up. I have one sitting in my storage unit. I need to get it cleaned out and then plumb it in.
  14. If your getting that much orange peal you need to thin it out more about 50/50
  15. Im not saying your wrong but ive never seen an injector that needs the polarity right. If you could give me an example that would be great. When i redid mine on my stock harness I didnt worry about it and it worked fine.
  16. I say check the green relay that plugs into the brown relay holder that is over by the battery. I know if its unplugged it will not work run so you might want to test it with a 9volt battery and a multimeter

Hey man I was in the same situation a few months ago. i couldnt get a job because i knew my car wasnt reliable. i finally got it somewhat reliable and got a decent job and while i was training and not making any money my car broke down on me 2 times once was a 3mile hike home and the other was a call to my mom for her to paypal me some money so i could go get a new battery as I was 20 miles from home. But now im making money and ive gotten everything fixed to where its drivable at least. Yes ive blown my motor up and am running on 5 cylinders at the moment but its still getting me to work and I have a spare motor in the passanger area and a cherry picker in the back. and im swapping it out next week. So just keep at it. You will get there
  20. Im going to have to go with the NSX. I know it isnt to practical but my friend has one and if you dont need tons of cargo room they are actually rather roomie on the inside. Id rather drive long distance in his nsx than my z. Thats mainly due to the ac though. They are fun cars though.
  21. I think that web site i posted really hit the head with the separate power and ground lugs and the mod on the back of the board. I know mine was realated to my msd box but I still like the assurance that my voltage doesnt fluctuate so i know that im getting a consistent metering of fuel
  22. Get an alignment. And doesnt cast affect your straight line tracking and if the car wonders or not??
