It sounds like a fuel pressure/flow issue to me. Either you have a bad pump or your tank might have enough crud in it that the pick up tube is partially clogged so that when you go higher in the rpm's and it needs more fuel the pump cant suck enough fuel up to keep the pressure high enough. Make sense?

the guy with the dsm is the guy im talking about. I believe he lives in wichita kansas at the moment. I may of spoke wrong but i know he had it running with megasquirt 2

I was looking at the same thing and i have talked to a few people that had at least touched those turbos and messed around with it and they say it should be able to be done pretty easily as the motor on the wastgate is the correct type to use with the boost control.

Its a much nicer and stronger tranny. They will shift better than the 280z unit also

That is a NA1 its a 1991 it has just had the headlights and every thing swapped after i was backed into one night in the drive through.

Hey Derek that is awsome!!!! one thing to think about is what fuel pressure was the person who you got your map from and what fp are you running. If i was still in florida id be over there in a heart beat to give you a hand with tunning.

Prothane is a reputable brand. And it looks like a complete kit to me but i dont have a zx. You can get little packets of it at autozone but thats much cheaper.

Did you take off the front cover and the snap ring?

If your not in a hurry I might be able to do this for you cory. Im not set up at my new place yet. It would probably be cheaper for you to buy the bad dog rails and floor pans as the time it would take someone to fabricate new ones out of sheet metal would be more expensive. It might be a few weeks before im ready to really start working on cars again but il let ya know.

on mine i went satin black on the plastic pieces around the tail lights but my chrome trim had seen better days so i painted those gloss black. I think it came out really nice and the difference in gloss makes it look sharp here is the only picture i could find

OK i just remembered that you had 255/40-17's falkens when you first got the rims.

have you thought about a wider tire on yours? your running the 255's on the RB's right? you could go to a 275 with room to spare. Thats what im running and i have no rubbing issues.

Soda blasting wont harm the machine marks. If its ok to use on the bottom of million dollar yachts to remove scum and such with out harming the gel coat im pretty sure its ok for your wheels

Its easy to do but are they case hardened?? I havent messed with the lash pads on the l series yet but I know that in a pinch i have taken a piece of glass and some 1000 grit sand paper and sanded down shims for a motorcyle before with good results. You have to have micrometers to do this obvously and you have to keep checking for squareness and to make sure your not wearing one side down more than the other. figure 8's is what ive found to work the best. Also make sure you do it wet.

I love it!!! Now Id do something like that just to go to a muscle car show and hear people bitch about how i ruined a classic American muscle car. Still I love it. Reminds me of fast and the furious tokyo drift where they put the RB26?? into the classic mustang. The classic car guys where in an uproar over it.
