  1. I got locked in at 6%, and if I would have waited 1 day it would have been 5.875. And then after that it started going back up, it is currently at 6.625, so I did get in at a pretty good time. It was appraised, and written as a 3.5 car garage, and a 5 car driveway, but me and my friends agree that we could fit 9 cars and 4 motorcycles in the driveway.
  2. Okay, a few more firsts.. I gave out candy.. A tree in the front yard got TP'ed.. And I just locked myself out of the house for the first time... dang..
  3. Woooooooooooooooooo.. Is this going to be your daily driver, or are you going to MOD it?
  4. I'm officially a HOMEOWNER! YAY.. Time to go shopping for garage cabinets. Also, I waited for rates to go down, and got in at 6.00 if I would of waited one day it would have been 5.875, and one less day was over 6.125
  5. Yeah, I had to reset my priorities, they were getting out of whack. If you cant tell. First should be the frame/rollcage/chassis/engine&trans fitment, and then bodywork (cf) and then re-blasting, and paint..

  7. I believe it's a R200 LSD out of an 89-91 300ZX ?? It has the large cooling fins, and LSD. Whoever put it in did a bad job modifying the bar for the rear of the LCA's. It's square tubing welded to the stock hacked up mounts.. I'll have to make something custom. I don't know if it's a short or long nose, but it bolts into the stock location, so I'd assume that's short?
  8. I just shredded a belt, as I would told it would. Basically the serpentine system currently on my LQ9 leaves a lot to be desired. The water pump pulley is visibly shaky. When I picked it up I asked about it, and he said I would need LS1 accessories, and water pump. But, I'm confused, as it looks like this water pump and an LS1 water pump are the same thing? There is also a fabricated alternator bracket, and I think that may be out of alignment causing problems, but I'd like to get a solid setup so I don't have to worry about this issue. What kind of a setup is needed to run the alternator and water pump, I do not want power steering or AC. I'm not sure why this idler is mounted like this, it has a 1/4" steel plate/spacer attached to it, I really don't know whats going on here..
  9. Yes sir, Before we had all of this technology, somebody actually had to do the work manually.
  10. If you read more into the car, they're basically making a woven composite from the veneer, much like a carbon fiber weave. It looks like they're all very creative, and I haven't seen this done to this extent before. If you're going to be absolutely number one, there are better materials out there. But, this is pretty unique.
  11. Did you notch your own tubing, or have someone do it?
  12. Wow.. http://www.joeharmondesign.com/
  13. I thought "Z Car A Legend in its Own Time" by Ben Millspaugh was interesting.
  14. More stuffo. Missing... rear driver side strut to lca bolt nut/washer/rubber. Bonus fix (having 2 more more datsuns).
  15. Yes, one thing I don't miss about replacing the gaskets in the 78 Z that I had was ALL OF THE BROKEN HARDWARE.. OMG. Best of luck to you. I used vice grips quite a few times.
  16. Chinchilla Ferrari or Lamborghini
  17. Circuit racing. Aluminum or Titanium
  18. For a second there in the first page I thought those pics were of the 240z I just got. How do you plan on tuning with the ITB's is that going to be a problem?
  19. cant....resist....buying...... z's.....................must.... fight...
  20. Big V8 rumble = loose hardware, it happens. I'm going through replacing fasteners with the correct Nylock/lock washer/loc-tite/spiral lock.. etc.. hardware.
  21. I bet the brakes would work better if they were bolted on.. This looks safe.
  22. I am getting a terrible noise, like a bad bearing, when there is no load on the rear end at higher speeds. +40mph. It is only when letting off the throttle, or riding in neutral at above 40mph. It increases with speed, also. Could this be due to excessive backlash. If it is the bearings, wouldn't I hear it at all times? It sounds fine other than under those circumstances.
  23. Passenger side engine mount bolt! Nut is backed off.. Driver side engine mount.. NO NUT! Pass side rear brake caliper. Bolt backing out, stopped because of brake line. Also, electrical gremlins; 1. Plug to throttle motor came loose, throttle unresponsive. 2. Turned on Fan, killled all electrical power. (Wiggled wires under the dash until I found one that had the short.)
