  1. Yeah, its a lot to expect to take a 750, or a 1000cc super sport bike, but I'm sure you could easily take a 600!!! Nice vids.
  2. A bit expensive. I was going to make one myself, but I have so much other stuff to do first, I haven't got around to it yet. I was also thinking of deleting the vents, because I wont have any heater.
  3. yea, down 800$ now(currently @ 1,082,000$) looks like it will turn around this afternoon.

  5. Real money. And the only info I could find was that it will be 15%, because it's a Long-term Capital Gain Rate at 15%, short term is 25%.
  6. Okay, I cashed out a fund and have to claim 17,000$ interest this year, I haven't talked to any finance agent yet, because taxes are so far off. Am I going to get hit with 35%. The difference from 15-35% is like an LS1 swap!.
  7. Well, heres what I'm doing. And it's taken me a year already. 1. Strip car down 2. Build rotisserie 3. Blast entire body (some missed areas) 4. go nuts with saws all/cutoff wheels. 5. weld new floor pans/sub frame connectors, stitch weld seams. 6. Get car off rotisserie, cut off frame rails, weld in new frame rails. 7. Weld in roll cage, box strut towers, stiffen chassis. Seat mounts. 7.5(added)Modify struts with adjustable coil overs, disk brakes .etc.) 8. Fit motor/fabricate transmission/engine mounts. 9. Fab fuel cell mounting area. 10. Assorted other fab. 11. More assorted fab. 12. Re-blast, or clean up with grinding. 13. Paint. 14. Fit brake lines/electrical/interior 15. Body work (in my case, because I want to make carbon fiber panels, otherwise I'd do the bodywork before paint and blast) 16. Finding problems to fix. 17. More problems/possibly find a solution. 18. OMG it moved. 19. More fixes 20. Probably okay now.
  8. I asked him if the two big manifolds in the picture came with the TB.
  9. projectors for your car?
  10. In just ONE DAY! Check it out guys. It's UpDown.com, the online stock market game. In short, you play the market with you're 1mil starting cash. And if you beat the S&P500 consistently they will actually pay you real money, and it's free to use. Hopefully my big stocks don't take a dive. Anyway, I'm having fun researching and looking into stocks. Practice for playing the market for real. In which I've sold most of my stock, and put it in the bank which I'm using towards a house.
  11. 1,000,000? The bail out is.. 700,000,000,000
  12. So, that happened to me with my 280z, and it turned out that a connection under the steering column, near the ignition was unplugged. When I plugged it back in, it stopped doing that. Check around under the column, and see what you come up with.
  13. Yes, you can go to a local welding supply store and rent a tank. Yes, you would just keep tacking a small hole to fill it in, then grind it down afterwords. Also, pulling the trigger is a lot quicker than the time it takes to grind, so go easy. You could also purchase a carbon block at the welding supply store. If you can get to the back of the panel, you can put the block against the back, and it should stop you from making a bigger hole, or having a lot of weld protruding out the back of the panel. And Yes, you would just cut out a piece of material to fit inside a larger hole, and then tack weld around it, until you've filled in all of the gaps.
  14. Well, first of all, if you can, I would recommend switching over to GAS shielding. If not, can you get a different welder? Flux core works because the flux is turned to a gas which displaces the atmosphere around the work area. If you're not getting a good hot start, you'll never get the gas coverage you need. I wouldn't recommend using your machine for this because of that fact. If you can use gas it will purge before the arc starts, and you will have good gas coverage before you start your arc. Heres a pic of a weld I put down with my cheapo Clarke MIG welder. I am using C25 gas. Or 75% Argon, and 25% C02. So Step 1- Get gas shielding. Step 2- 230V + machine. More voltage and amperage with a 230V machine means that you will get nice hot tack welds, and good penetration if you decide to weld anything thicker. Also, play with the settings on some scrap. Practice makes perfect.

  18. The 09 R1 is going to have a cross plane crank inline 4, as well as some other redesigned goodies. If you're looking at R1's you may want to wait.
  19. I'm told that the H6's fit into the 2.5RS's pretty nice. I had an STI before my M3, and my friend had a 2.5RS that he was going to stick an H6 into, but he sold it. AWD is nice...
  20. No live though. I don't play enough.
