Back again... Well the car ran for a bit, then after I changed the spark angle [i had done it a couple of times] the fuel pump wouldn't run and it won't spark. Here is the datalog http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=1069195&postcount=49

It's hooked up to the battery for now. Tried two batteries. Chris is working on it. My laptop does something funky for some reason. *edit* Thanks Chris *More edits* I wanted to throw in a diagram of the ECU to Relay Board diagram for my car I just made. It took longer than it should have heh.

Re-read the post, I edited it with my issues. No idle air control, the TPS screw is open up alot to make it act like the TPS I didn't turn the accel enrichment off, I figured that was causing issues.

*sigh* I have aweful luck It's an open downpipe right now, and this was taken from my roommate's still camera, hence the crappy sound. The car ran, it needs work on the maps, but that's not the important thing. I was working on adjusting the angle for spark and bam, no fuel pump or spark. The relays are clicking. I have no idea what's going on, I'll start a discussion in the MegaSquirt forum.

Hey I know you couldn't know all of this, you might want to call me so I can fill you in on the rest, but the guy I bought it from was running Supra 440s WITHOUT the PWM circuit installed. I added it when I got the board, that might be causing this issue.

No... but it might help the power loss issues up top. Ticking? I don't know, maybe you need a valve adjustment? Get an FSM, it's really easy to do. That is a picture of the VCM I had, it is located on the passenger side near the strut tower.

Have you checked the connections to the Vacuum Control Module? A S130 owner locally had what sounds like a similar problem and one of the wires had fallen off the VCM.

Sorry to make you have to track it down, that board has been on its third owner now. ***Comment deleted for now*** I got my MSI V3.57 board in today.

The ECU controls timing to some extent, and you need the CAS [Crank Angle Sensor] to advance or retard timing. The N/A dizzys are not adjustable electronically.

I'm amazed that you could figure that all out so quickly, that's awesome. I guess the injector driver issue is why the car would run for about 30 seconds and then die. So the issue with the BIP373 was that it was grounding out? DIYAT sent those metal screws with the mod kit, Chris and I were wondering why they didn't include the plastic ones but figured it would be fine, obviously if I wouldn't have been lazy it probably could have worked. Damn. What do you think I messed up with the PWM circuit? They also had the metal set screws, I wonder if they are grounding out as well?

Yeah I thought I told you I did some funky things and some funky things were done to it before I got it. I actually tried to wire it up for just fuel firing off the negative side of the coil, but I left the VB921 circuit in it. Please don't think I'm a total idiot I took some stuff out and added some things for fuel only I was trying to get it out of the garage and back to Fayetteville so it would be easier to work on. My Mother said she'd go take the note to the Post Office tomorrow, hopefully it'll be there. *sigh* I hate living 30 minutes away from my car.

81s have the CAS on the block... unless he's missing it, then yes he'd need the 83 Dizzy assembly and shaft. You'll need the ignitor as well. A local kid with a 280ZX Turbo has a 4 Pin GM HEI module as his ignitor, but his car is a basketcase, I'm not sure if it is doing the job properly.

I ordered my new MS board from DIYAutoTune and it was supposed to be delivered today. They ship with USPS. I live in Fayetteville, but have my packages shipped to my parents house that is about 30 minutes North of where I live. I called my parents yesterday to make sure they would be here, which they said they were, but they left for a bit this morning. Apparently the USPS guy came and left the mail and a note saying the package can be picked up at the USPS store in Springdale on Monday, but I got an email update saying the package was delivered and was signed for by a "R Wright" at 11:06 AM. I started to get worried when I saw that the status said the package was delivered and signed for, should I be worried about this? I tried to call the USPS help line but they were closed. Anyone else have this happen? I'm going to be very unhappy if I have to take time out from school/work/Z time to file a complaint and have DIY build me a new board.
