  1. Opinion?? Get an L28ET. BRAAP already answered your question. http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=1061964&postcount=2
  2. Uh oh... There's more! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1983-SPARTAN-MADE-FOR-TONY-DORSETT-280Z-CHASSIS_W0QQitemZ330355660242QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4ceabb55d2&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245#ht_21504wt_1166
  3. So, I think I have next Monday off? yaaay for a long weekend. Going to go pick up another long block and make some money for the new MS board. Luckily the heavy homework hasn't set it yet.
  4. It means that the Early 260Z bumpers will bolt right up to the 260Z AND 280Z cars. It worked great but my bumper bar is bent on the left side so I took it off about a year ago. The brackets are the three bolt brackets just like the 280Z bumpers, just smaller [or shorter] than the late 280Z ones.
  5. Hey Phar, you are a bit off on this one. I scavenged an early 260Z bumper from a car in a junkyard, and those have bumper shocks with two bolt holes like the 280Zs, just shorter. [Maybe the same length as the zenki 280s, but I don't have any experience with 75 or 76s.]
  6. Have you checked your Injector connectors? They could be loose or corroded.
  7. I fail again! How did I not know it was diesel! haha
  8. Thanks I will definitely be doing this to the L28ET, and maybe the P79 if I feel lucky. Did you do it with the head off or still on the block? *edit* I found the answer ^ Is there any way that you could empirically measure the results? It would fend off the naysayers if we could prove it works. *edit* Should have re-read the whole thing before I posted ^
  9. LMAO Yes Bawb Supras are heavy... What, choo want a cookie?
  10. Does anyone have a link to a list of all of the Subaru Differentials? Ratios, spline count, etc? My boss has several Impreza/Outback parts cars and I can take whatever I can use. Sorry for going off topic John, I was hoping I could buy a set of these and have a diff already waiting for them.
  11. Update: We tried one last time to get this damn V3.0 board to work for me, and it still wouldn't do it. I've given up and I'm ordering this within a week: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirti-efi-system-smd-pcb357-black-case-p-172.html I've wasted sooo much time on the old board, it's time to move on. Hopfully this will be a drop in affair, I'll have everything in the harness ready to go by the time the board gets here. I'm going back to firing the coil directly off the board. I stopped making deadlines for this project months ago so I have no tentative date of completion Aside: DIY is really cool. Russ emailed me within an hour and got the information he needed out of me and they even took some money off for the stuff I could reuse off of my old board [Case and processor] I will continue doing business with them and I anxiously await MSIII. Awesomeness: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/megasquirt-3/9487/page1/
  12. Those are some big ole spark plugs!
  13. Goodbye, you wretched V3.0 box that has given me headache after headache and wasted countless hours of my time. I concede to this ridiculous board - It has defeated me. I'm ordering a Pre-assembled MSI V3.57 board from DIY late this week or early next week. I need to fanagle some funds, turn some solid assets into liquid, etc etc. http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirti-efi-system-smd-pcb357-black-case-p-172.html I feel like this is the right decision, I'll hurt a little bit for funds for a week or two but I have other jobs I can do on the weekends to get me back on my feet. So, hopefully the next thing you all hear about this is that I threw the new box on the car with Mike's MSQ and *voila* it starts up. Thanks for all of you that contributed to this thread. - Flatty
  14. Would you upload pictures of your setup?
  15. What hoov? Since when did LS1s come with 6 Cylinders?
  16. If it was an F54 black and came out of a N/A car it's a flat top unless it was rebuilt with different pistons. The Turbo F54s had 10cc dished pistons. What did this motor come out of?
  17. I lost you at "e88 n 42" You are throwing around some big claims up there if I read that right. Claims that don't agree with other members who have done high comp builds and that have way better grammar than you.
  18. What other specifics would you need then what you listed? It's an L26 Block with an E88 head - the Felpro L6 gasket is a universal fit for the L24 L26 and L28.
