  1. Whoops, was thinking of something else...
  2. I have an early ('70-'76) driver's door in good shape. I'm in San Bruno, 30min away. I'll sell it cheap.
  3. A "decent price" is always relative to what you're asking about. For what you're asking, a decent price would be at least $3-4k for a properly-built custom coilover setup. I'm sure johnc can quote you a price.
  4. Yeah, I'm forseeing rear track changes mid corner. Also, that control arm is going to bind against the inner bar, once it twists around. That is not a good control arm design. "Not good" is an understatement.
  5. Ha, I was wondering the same! Back when I was in school, there might have been 1 girl in Baha and a handful in FSAE.
  6. Got it. So if you're using the spares then why remove and disassemble the current suspension? Why not leave it be and then swap everything over once you finish the coilovers? I think if you take your time and practice patience, you won't mess up.
  7. I hope you do! By the way, what is the reasoning behind the spare suspension?
  8. AH, Takashi! You lucky guy!!! Both sets I've done took a weekend...
  9. Thanks Takashi! Good seeing you at the show on Saturday. Get those brakes finished up!
  10. Just a little bit of progress made last weekend. I've been cleaning out the garage for months now, trying to create some semblance and organization of an actual shop (rather than a storage facility). Finally, this weekend it became clean enough to actually move the Z in and out of the garage! Of course, I had to give it the long delayed "first wash"... The paint is in pretty good shape, but needs a good detail. (note: the car is completely dry in these photos) At this point, I'm looking for a good core P90 or P90A head to send to the machine shop. Once I have a head, I should have everything needed to finish it up.
  11. I used Mike's service on my 260Z tail light trim. Came out pretty nice!
  12. Finally, some work done on the Z! I finally installed the correct speedo gear a week or two ago. I think this is the first time I've had a Z with a (somewhat) correct speedo reading. On Thursday morning before work, I sanded and painted my tail light panels as well as the license plate light. Primed and ready for paint: I finished painting them and left for the day. For anyone that's curious, the paint is from O'Reilly's and is Nissan "Precision Grey". The tail light trim came back from the platers 2 weeks ago and by Friday the paint was dry so I finally assembled the tail lights. I also finally installed the "new" air dam on Friday. I had sold my old one since I had another one lying around in better shape. It's the same Xenon Type 1 style, just in better shape. Yesterday (Saturday) morning, I gave her a wash and went off to the Shokuji J-tin show in San Leandro. The show was a blast, probably the most fun one I've been to! It was at a great venue and was just big enough to be able to check out each car and talk with owners without feeling overwhelmed. It all gave the show a very nice, calm atmosphere. Saw some awesome machinery including Darius' insane supercharged LS1 Z, couldn't stop staring at that thing! I definitely look forward to attending more of Ivan and James' events. Parked for the day Managed to fit a set of 4 wheels+tires into the Z, along with some miscellaneous items. I arranged a deal for someone to pick the wheels up at the show. I wait until after 1pm and finally call the guy. I ask him about picking up the wheels and he says, "well I looked at them, and they were a little too rough for me. I'm going to pass". Now, the wheels are in great shape so I'm a bit in awe about him thinking they in poor shape. Then, I realize something. There's a guy in the swap meet section of the meet selling VERY similar wheels. Turns out, the buyer talked to him thinking he was me. GREAT! I had to haul the wheels back home, this time with my buddy tossing 2 into his MS3. Anybody want some old-school Appliance turbine wheels for cheap? Bright and early I didn't take many pics but this 86 was awesome! It was a great day in the sun. I just need to remember to put on sunscreen and a hat next time... And safely back home
  13. Let me clarify my post, I'm not looking to spend $150 on a P90A head. I'd need to buy at least $50-60 worth of adjusters and timeserts so I'm limited to <$100 as far as the P90A goes. Thanks!
  14. You sure those are 16X7? Looks like 14" to me...
  15. Looking for a rebuildable core head to take to the machine shop to shave and rebuild, i.e. I don't need something "ready to bolt on". This will be going on top of my NA, flat-top L28. I'll take a P90A but would need to source some valve adjuster "holders" (the big nut at the bottom of the adjusters, I already have a spare set of adjusters). Budget is up to $150 for a good core head. Kicking myself for giving away a P90A for free a few years ago...
  16. No problem. I'm north and you're south so we cover both bases.
  17. My orange car is in the show so I'll be there all day!
  18. How's the feedback? Do you retain the "feel" of the manual rack or does it numb it up?
  19. Same here! $75 for a local.
  20. FWIW, I understand wanting it to "look clean" but I'd consider keeping the relays...
  21. Just let me know when you'd like to come by! BTW, I'll be at the J-tin show in San Leandro tomorrow and can bring it with me if you're going.
