In Lebanon, men are legally allowed to have sex with animals, but the animals must be female. Having sexual relations with a male animal is punishable by death. In Bahrain , a male doctor may legally examine a woman's genitals, but is prohibited from looking directly at them during the examination. He may only see their reflection in a mirror. (Do they look different reversed?) Muslims are banned from looking at the genitals of a corpse. This also applies to undertakers. The sex organs of the deceased must be covered with a brick or piece of wood at all times. (A brick?) The penalty for masturbation in Indonesia is decapitation. (Much worse than 'going blind!') There are men in Guam whose full-time job is to travel the countryside and deflower young virgins, who pay them for the privilege of having sex for the first time. Reason: under Guam law, it is expressly forbidden for virgins to marry. (Let's just think for a minute; is there any job anywhere else in the world that even comes close to this?) In Hong Kong , a betrayed wife is legally allowed to kill her adulterous husband, but may only do so with her bare hands. The husband's illicit lover, on the other hand, may be killed in any manner desired. (Ah! Justice!) Topless saleswomen are legal in Liverpool , England - but only in tropical fish stores. (But of course!) In Cali , Colombia , a woman may only have sex with her husband, and the first time this happens, her mother must be in the room to witness the act. (Makes one shudder at the thought.) In Santa Cruz , Bolivia , it is illegal for a man to have sex with a woman and her daughter at the same time. (I presume this was a big enough problem that they had to pass this law?) In Maryland , it is illegal to sell condoms from vending machines with one exception: Prophylactics may be dispensed from a vending machine only in places where alcoholic beverages are sold for consumption on the premises. (Is this a great country or what? Well, not as great as Guam!) Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. (Who volunteers for these tests?) The ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated. (From drinking little bottles of ??? Did our government pay for this research??) Thank you all for reading this. If you need to reach me in the future, I will be in Guam !!!!!!

John Scott is the guy you want to be talking to. He had his engine slammed up to firewall and it looked like you could have easily fit another one in front of it. You could try doing a search or maybe he will see this and chime in. If not, try sending him a PM.

Nice, but necessarily earth-shattering. The Mazworx shop race car punched out an SR20 to 2.2L and pulled over 1600hp!

Z-Gad launches with 20psi and 100-shot @ 5000RPMs and his Techno-Toy/R230 setup seems to holding up fine.

Well, guess I could not stay away forever. I again have a car that matches my name. I just took delivery of a GNZ. It's not quite the original GNZ but will do nicely nonetheless. Car ran a best of 10.17 @ 133 a few years ago, but I plan to have the wife racing it so it will be tamed down until she feels comfortable behind the wheel at speed. It has a wiped cam lobe so is somewhat apart but I will start bringing it back to life soon. For those in the know, this is John Lindsay's old Z. Quite the sleeper.

James Thagard and his TT L28 is a legend on this forum and there is no need for a timeslip to verify his car's performance. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=95889 I believe he went quicker since then but don't see a post about it.

Not what you want to do with a turbo engine, especially if you are going to be shifting at 6000-6250. Probably not building max boost in those gears. I believe n/a Z31s have 3.54.

The relay should have 4 connectors or possibly 5. If you look at the bottom where the blades are, they should be marked 30, 87, 85, 86. If it has 5, the 5th will be marked 87a but you can ignore that one. Here is how to wire up the pump/relay: - Run a 10g wire from the battery to the 30 connector on the relay. Put a 20a in-line fuse on that wire - Run a 10g wire from the 87 connector on the relay to the pump + - Connect the original pump positive wire to the 86 connector on the relay - Connect the 85 connector on the relay to ground. 18g wire will suffice - Run a 10g wire from the pump - to a good ground. Note the use of 10g wire and make sure you have good connections as previously stated.

CONGRATS!! Why is the base FP so low? Time for an alky inj kit: - Will drop your IATs down probably 90*, which will be good for about 9% increase in power - You can safely crank the boost up to 22psi - Avoids running the injs on the ragged edge - Pays for itself by not having to buy $8/gal race gas. Swap out he 3.70s for 3.54s and let the engine run under more load. that should be a cheap enough swap. BTW, Brad makes a good point about the shift point. No point in pushing the RPMs if the torque is falling way off.

John, the '73 & '74 Carrera RS are VERY desirable cars, BUT, they were never available in the USA. '73 & '74 US Carreras had all the Carrera parts but the RS engine. My first 911, bought in Germany in '82, was a real '74 Carrera RS and for the short time I drove it in Germany I had a permanent boner. Never competed with it, but to be honest, everyday driving got very tiresome with the strong but peaky engine and balky shifter. Swapped it out in '85 for a '79 Max Moritz Special, bought again in Germany. Max Moritz was a dealer that pre-dated Ruf and his Special was a short-stroke 3.2L + other goodies. The '79 was heavier and softer but a much nicer driver and quicker than the Carrera (note I said quick) because of the torque. If you look at it from a racing perspective, the early Carreras are killers but IMO, the later cars make way better everyday street cars. Kick myself in the ass today for getting rid of both of them, but I always wanted to try something different and there was no such thing as Barrett-Jackson back then

I would stay away from the 308. I would also stay away from early-70s 911s. At a minimum, I would go with a '78-on 911SC (3.0L) or better yet, '84-on Carrera (3.2L). If you were willing to spend $22K and give up the Z, then look into a '90-on Carrera which has the 3.6L and a completely revised rear suspension. You could even enjoy driving in the winter. [flamesuiton]It's hard to part with a Z, trust me I know, but then you discover there are other cars out there that make you wonder why you waited so long.[/flamesuitoff]

I am close to getting my car back on the track, if I can quickly figure out this fueling problem that is driving me nuts. Might be tomorrow, Sunday or next Wednesday or all those days if things go well. I am always up for visitors.

Interesting project. Here is another perspective on forced induction Porsche V8: http://www.928motorsports.com/images/2009/Cutaway2.jpg

Same here. You are shooting for 300hp and Z-Gad and I are shooting for triple that, so go for it. Machine work, clearances, hardware and assembly are just as important as the rods you choose. Spend a few extra coin and get a set of ARP rod bolts, main studs and head studs.

Nice Job, John. Welcome to the 9s.

If anyone is planning on using a 24x19 double-pass, I have a nice and cheap Taurus fan that has been modified to fit that radiator. Anyone interested, PM me. -

Not familiar enough with the AEM to tell you. The TEC II comes with a magnetic pickup that can be used with various diameter trigger wheels. Electromotive advertised a mod that could be done to the OEM trigger wheel to use the OEM pickup but it did not work. Engine would fire up and idle fine but break up badly as RPMs increased. Went to a 7" external trigger wheel and ran fine. You could have a bad OEM pickup and trying another should be easy. I would go to supraforums and see who has a great rep for working with AEM, contact that person offline, and see if they can help. Start off by offering to pay for the service and see where it goes from there. You do not want to get into an open forum technical discussion there like you can do here. -
Awesome to see a reasonably-priced conversion kit for the E36. Not a 5.0 fan and wonder if someone is going to offer an LSx kit soon.......HARUMPHHHH, HARUMPHHHH
