  1. Hah!! She'll prolly ask for money.
  2. Good for you, Doc. Balzz to the wall!! It doesn't surprise me that she won't let him have his clothes. But that's a good thing in a way. It proves how selfish, self-centered, and self-absorbed she is even at the expense of her own son's happiness.
  3. Oh man... if she has connections in the public school to which he would attend you may want to consider a private school if at all possible. If she has manipulative friends inside and she somehow fools them into helping her that could be disasterous.
  4. I would remove it with a stick of dynamite. Too many of those damn turbo RB's kicking SBC buttocks.
  5. Holy split duration, Batman!! That's adv. duration/lift, right? What's the LSA?
  6. Bottom line is children can choose who they decide to live with unless there are mitigating circumstances such as neglect or abuse. It sounds like the law is on your side on both counts. Hang in there, David. I would wish you luck but you're not going to need it. I'll say in advance congrats and happy fathering.
  7. Yes your are a post whore... you're just not a very good one.
  8. I have a fairly beefy 350 SBC bored +.060 (360, I think) and for most people it's about right. For others it's too much. It's not enough for me so I'm building a strong 400 SBC. It just depends on how much TQ/HP you want. To each his own. FWIW, this current setup will run high 12's all day. I expect to get into the mid-low 10's with the 400 and other updates. A strong 355 matched with the right transmissoin setup, torque conv., diff. ratio, tires etc. can easily get you into the 11's but it's easier and more streetable with more CID. A 383 can be made a little more street friendly ET for ET than a 355.
  9. Con Brio... Will do but I'm still not sure what to do with regards to refinishing these. The last quote I received makes other options look appealing. I'll shop around and report back.
  10. Don't drink and drive. Oh... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  11. Phred... so do you recommend double media blasting (shot peening) to those with high quality hyper pistons who wish to spray a little nitrous? This is for a 400 SBC. Is this "primarily" for the piston domes?
  12. The red spray I mentioned is a thin coat of a sticky substance and removal is fairly easy. Once I started using it as I stated above I never had any corosion problems.
  13. Overkill? Nahh.. not that one. I don't like the wing one tiny bit but I'm sure it's functional for those who need/want such a thing.
  14. Ooh... nice frame mods make for a good stiffy-ness!!
  15. If you're talking about that red spray-on stuff... yes, it works really well "IF" you first completely remove any hint of corosion, grunge, and thoroughly dry everything. You must also spray the exposed ends of the cables allowing the fluid to wick back into cables, and include any hidden areas such as all the bolts and threads. Spray the battery posts immediately before assembly then give it one final spray after it's assembled. If you miss any little area corosion will begin from there and spread everywhere else. It's available at most auto parts store in the battery/cables area.
  16. What's so rice about it? I don't like the spoiler either but others here on HZ have similar ones. In reference to the wing: You may want to read the "Windtunnel Tests" threads.
  17. Benitoz... can you post measurements and weight? This may give some indication of overall material thickness. Thanks in advance!!
  18. I'm so JEALOUS of this induction I just spat a loogie!!
  19. I'd sure like to know what those rear flares are because I'm selling a set that looks exactly like them.
  20. Did I err? I didn't intend to sound unhelpful or unsupportive. Quite the opposite, actually.
  21. Yes, John has a top-notch reputation and there's good reason for that. I'm sure he'll look into this siuation and remedy it ASAP.
  22. Firstly, I'll say I agree with rusty. You're very kind and generous to take on the onerous task of helping to care for a teenager. However, she sounds mature and hard-working so it should work out fine. Secondly, and I really don't intend to minimize your physical pain nor emotional suffering but, if what's happened so far is the worst it ever gets, then count your lucky stars my friend. Please remember that many folks have had it much worse. I wish I could remember some witty comment or a profound proverb to share with you but my mind is shot so I'll leave it at that.
