  1. you can get 1mm 1.5mm and 2mm Nismo gaskets from courtesy neissan. I got min ein jsut a couple days they had them all in stock. Sounds like you might want to the lookign at a 2mm
  2. NO do not put red seats in your car mike i beg you!
  3. 700 standard bearing t3/t4 in whatever specs you want. 1400 for hte gt35r, i believe thats what hes talking about lol.
  4. for some strange reason i sitll think it woudl be cool to run a tripple weber turbo setup. Maybe i jsut like oldskewl setups but it looks fun. I know it doesnt make any sense with EFI of today but it woudl still be cool! This setup with a set of those tb's that bolt up the same as the triple webers would be hawt i think.
  5. Hahaha mike sorry about painting over that i didnt know you wanted it on there. I actually just made a stencil in paint and printed it out on a couple pieces of paper. Cut it out and hit it with some black. You went crazy on that radiator support lol, I had the i/c mounted up about 2" higher, might fit better but i dunno, looks like it fits fine to me how it is. Anyway, I would have never thought about doing the lights liek that but they look good! Especially with that blue. I saw a m3 that color yesterday up at school, it was gorgeous, thought about your car when I saw it.
  6. I seem to recall arizona z car selling these. Maybe you could contact them with what is needed for hte swap. What are hte ratio's? I would assum they are too high for most of us turbo / v8 guys.
  7. By sectioning the strut you basically shortening the entire strut assymbly by ~2" . You arent really gaining more travel but you are shortening the entire strut so that your 2" drop gives you the same travel. I dunno if this helps... but the answer to your question is no.
  8. At least you didnt chop anything off! Looks painful though!!! I lost about an inch off my index finger, talk about no fun. Took i guess 4 months to heal where i could take the bandage off of it for good. Hope everything works out!
  9. How many is that now? 3 awesome z's?? ONe of these days Im sure they will all be going, and you will have a hell of a collection of z's. Hopefully I'll be cruising in mine soon, maybe within the month, i'd love to dropp in for look at your cars!
  10. WOw that thing is beautiful. COngrats on a super clean install. I love it! Any specs on it you can share?
  11. I guesss ill through a couple of mine up even though i jsut posted them a while back: Heres my old car: okay im done with pictures sorryfor takign up so much space. And btw 80lt1 that blue is gorgeous!
  12. NCSU, North Carolina State! Maybe i didnt help out with your decision...
  13. 370 for projectors with true HID bulbs and ballast... are those honda lenses H4 projectors or HID? Anyway good luck with your project, should turn out cool
  14. Why dont yall just buy a projector kit and mold your own bucket. Much easier IMO. Seems like you are tryign too hard to change something that is already made. I have neve really seen a light graph that looked exactly right. Some look damn good but there is always something kinda off. Not to mention these are all expensive ideas. Looks over at http://www.HIDplanet.com at stuff like this: you can get a full packeage HID/projector beams ready to go in a housing. A bucket would be pretty simple to make out of some fiberglass and bondo. Anyway just my 2 cents. And nice sketches btw, I really like em.
  15. I would jsut take it off with the downpipe shouldnt be an issue. That what i ended up doing on my old exhasut where i had a slipfit on teh DP. Aftertime is rusted shut.
  16. have you guys seen the new 06 sti? Wow... is it ugly IMP. I hated to see it out at hte autox the other day as id never seen one before. I personally think they ruined the car. Not to mention it was a horrible grey/green and the front fenders didnt match the body. I love the old Sti, and would grab one of them over the evo. But i believe the evo would be easier to tune and work with as far as the engine department.
  17. Roll it off from the bottom. It will leterally come right out. Start underneight and roll it up on the end toward the back. Once it gets started youll be golden.
  18. yes stainless does rust, it is just alot more resistent to it. different grades of stainless are more prone to rusting then others. IF the horns were subjected to a very wet damp environment for a long time they may have gotten a bit of surface rust. if they are like this i would try and buff them up with a little buffing wheel on an electric drill and some compound, that should do the trick. Crues -- do you think powder would dull out the sound of the air horn? This would be the best option. I do powder too, it looks great, is tough, and last a long time, but its pretty thick so i dunno what effect this might have.
  19. well if they are rusty then they arnt aluminum and that method really only works on aluminum. that being said we need to know more about them, like what type of metal, SS(yes SS rusts!), chrome, painted??
  20. I made a post about this a while back. I used a 3M marine clear plastic restorer. Worked great. Here is the post, got pictures and what not: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104585
