  1. My 240 came in at 2500 lbs with full interior, ls1 and T56. Corner weighted with me in it 2700 with almost 50/50 balance front to rear and left to right and crossed. Axels should be good as long as you don't dump clutch launch. Your car is coming along nicely.
  2. Those are good numbers to the wheels.... factor in drive train loss and that's decent power to weight ratio. No dyno for me yet, but with my LS1 t56 running vet hot cam and 3.9 lsd I can blow the tires off any time I wish. Any more would just be for trash taking or bragging until I get more tire under her. 200 treadwear 255 40 17 at present. I continue to enjoy your build. Jim
  3. I got a chance to take a sprinted drive this morning..... She tracks straight and true, but man oh man can I can tell the difference cornering. This is gonna be a riot! On a side note, the shop that set my car up builds very high end race and rod cars..... A car they had on site holds a bonnieville record. Anyway, a few of the guys were poking around and under my car and were really impressed with my build. Not to shabby for a shade tree mechanic but honestly I could not have done it with great parts from the likes of Silvermine motors, T3, CX Racing, Wiring specialties, and the endless great advice and direction I gather from HybridZ. Jim
  4. Car is aligned with aggressive street and moderate race setting with -2.5 camber. Corner weighted with me in the car and fuel at 2700 lbs with a really nice balance. I have another AutoX May 23, so I'll post up opinion and video of changes then.
  5. Installed the front suspension bits..... Fit and finish were great. I'll post pics later. Time for an alignment to put these parts to work.
  6. Why do you want or think you need coilovers? Would be my first question......
  7. https://vimeo.com/212513007 Well at least I can get the link to work. Jim
  8. Top four in AutoX yesterday.... I'm such an idiot though as I can't get video to post again! I'm no tech guy but it seems this should be easier... My latest video can be seen under the "video" section of the HybridZ site under "Z video's". BUT..... I can't get it to post here again? Jim
  9. Looking great. Keep us updated on racing progress. Well done!
  10. Dave at AZC has been good to me over the years..... I just could not pass up the great price for product that silvermine has right now. Your build continues to inspire me alainburon, truly beautiful work. Jim
  11. PCM glove box. Relay's on passenger foot/side panel.
  12. Looking great Ryan. I may never get to paint as I spend too much on go fast parts...... Your car looks so very clean! I'm content with my angry racer primer look for now, but seeing projects in paint gets me tossing change in a savings jar. FWIW, I had great dealings and success with wiring specialties for LS wiring. Best of luck. Jim
  13. I want to give some customer service props to Edan at Silvermine Motors....... Just so you know, Edan is a huge fan and supporter of the Z community as well as vendor for great products. He sent me a personal email concerned about the fit between his LCA and the futofab TCA..... He was willing to eat shipping and replace the LCA with another he has developed if necessary in order make the purchase right for me. I believe they will work together (see photo) but the point is Silvermine is going above and beyond to make sure they do. This is why I have and will continue to buy great products from Edan at Silvermine motors. My .02 Jim
  14. Look what showed up today. These things are massive and stout! Can't wait to get them on.
  15. Took some time to clean up the underside of the hood. Painted the border satin black and once that's cured I will go back and Re-shoot the white. Look much cleaner for now anyway.
  16. Silicone style... The hole was a little smaller but closed up nicely around the sensor housing for an air tight fit. I'll take a picture in a bit.
  17. i did a press fit into small bored hole I made in the intake elbow.
  18. Personally I would not do the swap on a 78..... Even if you have the "hook up" you are putting those shops in jeopardy of huge fines and pulled license. The suspension under the car is more than up to your use task with minimal upgrades.... I've been competing and winning in local AutoX events for years with only mild upgrades on 45 year old technology. I'm now running an LS1 swap and she is still doing great...... If your really want to toss out your money T3, AZC, Silvermine and others have everything you need for a bullet proof race set up...... And it all bolts on with minimal to no fab work. Just my .02. Good luck with your build and at least enjoy the process. Jim.
