Why does a TB go bad? Bushings? than it would be a recurate problem. What is the problem with the steering rack?... I am trying to understand what to look for if I go with the Jag. World is changing evolving in a good way or in a bad way but is evolving. I don't think that scaring or controling his act is the way to go. I believe that kids are intelligent enough (13 is old enough to know how to act and respect others, not always but...) so tell him about what are the positive and negative point to sex. Let him discover it by himself, don't push don't pull just talk to him as a father. Chances are that he already knows more than you think, maybe more than you. I feel that shop repairing mercedes or any other High end carcharges an extra for luxurious labor. Hey Allen, I am thinking the same way, there are a lot of parts, used parts available and if done by yourself, can see why it would cost you an another arm for repair. I have search the web for reviews on those 2 cars but didn't find what I wanted from a mechanic perspective, as the thread for the BMW 750il. Since my business is going pretty good, I am looking at a new car or new old car. The Jaguar XJR from 1998+ and the mercedes S-Class from 2000+. Jag: - Nikosil engine 1998-2000, needs replacement sooner or later. - Transmission sometime goes bad. - Electronic, not bad since Ford took the brand. Mercedes: - Elect. controler or module goes bad. I haven't really heard anything bad besides those things. I want a reliable car, comfy, to travel, that looks good and isn't the worst thing to maintain if I do the work myself. I am like most of you, I will not let someone else touch my cars. Please any feedback, be harsh, please. Anything to make me stay away from those 2 cars so I can get a really good picture of the cost invlolved. If you have any website to look at, it would be great. I have search the web a lot, but I got bored of those people that cannot change a light bulb on their cars or whine about their 10 000$ transmission. Thanks a lot !! Dayz

Guys, I just bought the poly bushing kit. What is your trick to get the rear control arm mated to the strut. I can't seem to compress them enough to enter the strut. I have search, but didn't find anything about it. Thanks guys, I quite feel dumb on that one. Dayz

Bartman, In your case, I believe you have 2 high spot and one low spot. I would try my best to get that big low spot out by just pushing it. After you should still have 2 high and 1 low but a lot less difference between them. Work your way from the outside with a mallet (not necessarily in metal, wood) with a flat backing plate in metal larger than the surface. Work your way from the outside gently, always pushing toward the center point wih a shrinking hammer. You should be close to perfection at the end. I have done a couple of leading edge of airplane wing without a backing plate, just by working my way from the outside. It is fun, go slow, and when you get fustrated go get a scotch !!! Dayz

Hi All, I just came back, the third time it was finally open. My impressions...? Humm... I think the guys is mising a lot of organisation skills. You should see the amount of useless paper in that "office", it is everywhere !!! No wonder stuff gets shipped late or never...he just doesn't know. I have no clue about the quality of his products, all I can say is that he is not a guy that will ever get organised. If you want parts from him, bother him and wait as long as it takes...eventually he will find that piece of paper (written by hand) and will get to you. I don't think he cares that his customers are waiting, it is just like that ! As for MARK, he will get his part in the next week. - Do you have sparks - Do you have fuel - Is you timming OK If you have those 3 your car should run !!! Is your pump working? You seem like you have tested out of the car, does it work in the car? Maybe some connections are bad...usually that is the problem Dayz

Careless, I don't know if you read the whole thread but read again. The whole subframe is the one from an S14. Suspension, control arms, knuckles, diff and... Great swap ! If you read again you will see how much work is involve in the swap. The AZC subframe bolts up to an R200 Diff that is LSD. Rephrase you question. What is your goal ?
