Guys, I am at a little loss. My full resto will soon be on the road..after I figure this problem out. I hear a clunk from the trans tunnel towards the rear, when I back up. When I move forward, it doesn't seem to appear. I have checked all the u-joints, moving well or new. For the new one (from Black Dragon), it has a side to side play, as if the circlip weren't thick enough but moving fine without play in the other direction. Hope it makes sense. How do I check my mount which I should suspect at this point. Thanks Dayz

Plating is cheap, it cost me 80 US$ for 2 box full of bolts and hardware. Original uses Cadmium, but yellow Zinc is pretty much the same thing. You need to remove the paint first, the rust dissolves itself in the acid. Here is an example!

In North-America, I only know of Mazworx ;http://www.mazworx.com/ Prices are high, in my book...but I guess the VH is a rare engine compare to SR20 and RB's. I am sure in New-Zealand and Australia there is more companies. Dayz

Hey that last pic of an S30 wasn't too bad. First thing, if you are in Victoria, you will eventually find what you want for very cheap, hey just can cross the border. Second thing, remember the plan you want for this car, we all dream of the car we want, but sometimes its better to sort-a repair the one you have and save your money for a much nicer one that you can afford! You will get in the while I am at it, and that can costs you a lot. Dayz

Women aren't like us, you would get me welding rods and a hammer and I would love ya. Women aren't like that, what does she like? Music, theater, spa, massage....Give her something where she will feel pretty and taken care of, where ir shows that you have put some thoughts. Perhaps a special book, whatever. That is my 2 cents! Car is a projection of yourself....Now if we all had money, this would become the main concern. Depending on what kind of job you have lined up, what company, your needs, etc...will dictate the car you want. Sports, Luxury, high end... I say M3, M5, g35 coupe. Remember to save for a house !!! Dayz

Derek, What material are the hardlines? Where did you get the fittings, where did you get the hoses? I would assume that you went somewhere to get the fittings crimped? I am at a loss here, I have everything but need the lines to attach everything. Did you use R12 or R134? Any website that can help me ou with those parts? thanks Dayz

You need the fork to work with the Throwout bearing, that piece will tell you which fork you need. Also, Clutch cover or PP changes for 74+. Read this, It helped me out. http://zparts.com/zptech/articles/trans_swap%20parts/4tobear_specs1.html

Jerry I wouldn't mess with it, I will take it off your arms...this week-end perhaps! In all seriousness, dismantle it, don't ruin the machine because there is sand everywhere. It is a precise machine, your want everything to work very well, a big job but for the price, you can't beat that! PS..you seem to find good deals from time to time, perhaps let your friend from Hybridz-Toronto get some if you don't want them!!! Dayz
