  1. Lol someone in the thread called it the Nissan logo "burger". Never thought of it that way, but its perfect. I've secretly wanted to do BRE stripes in a matte color before eventually painting the car one day
  2. S2K seats have been done before, I've also been keeping my ear low for some. They definitely don't go for cheap though, especially when I want then in red. 944 turbo and S2000 seats are still something I REALLY want. I gotta find some other readily available and decently priced OEM seats. If I find these in reddddddddddddd.............man the wife will not be happy lol
  3. Nah, first time they've done this. I personally think its a cool idea, but it's definitely not as refined as it should be. First off, you should be able to choose from a spectrum of colors AND paint chips. Secondly, previewing paint jobs should be alot easier. You can however install a new paint job to see how it looks, and if you don't like it, don't back out of GT Auto and quit game then reboot it. But that's way too tedious.
  4. Bah, to hell with what the Nissan guys are saying, would be surprised if a good number of them cared where the 370z's heritage came from. Shouldn't the stripes be slightly more forward on the fenders though?
  5. Oh and BTW, I think you got off REALLY lucky. These jokers are now selling it for $550, buy it only Ebay Link
  6. How much and where did you get your CF hood? Everywhere I've seen has been north of $800. I remember thinking my $450 CF hood on my old S14 was pricey, oh how little I knew how good I had it.
  7. Yes, yes, yes. I think everyone can agree, the game somehow seems rushed, but then again, its Gran Turismo, its still awesome. Its weird, the game has huge highs, and huge lows. But with the proper wheel set up, its just the best. stprasinz if you play online I have a red Z31 if you'd like to trade.
  8. Had this bad boy the day it came, just got my steering wheel set up last week, love it. As for Z cars, I HATE that the only S30 is a ZG nose and you can't change the wheels. Looks like a speed boat.
  9. I have 944 seats in my Z, IIRC they're fairly close if not the same exact seat. If you can find the turbo model 944 seats, jump on them asap! Like most seats swaps, its pretty straight forward although involving some drilling and strip of flat steel for the rear mount. I don't have any pictures of the process I went through, but I try to explain it to you the best I can. I used the stock 240Z seat sliders and mounted them to the Porsche seats. You'll have to drill 2 holes for the front mounts and since the front mount is practically a single mount going all the way across, its a simple matter marking and drilling. HOWEVER, what I did is use the OUTER rear mount and line it up with the OUTER front mount, therefor that outer rail uses the stock mounting points. This however will mean the inside rear mount will not line up, which is where the piece of long flat steel comes in. I had the piece of steel go across both rear mounts, measured, marked, and drilled the hole for the rear inside mount. Bolted it all up and voila! Hope you've got small hands, bolting down the rear is real PITA!
  10. From what I understand, aftermarket LSD's from S13 240sx's with an open diff will go into our long noses. If you do a little digging you should find some people commenting on it. Hopefully someone more experienced than myself can chime in, but this is the route I'd like to take instead waiting for CLSD to finally pop up or going the rebuilt OBX route.
  11. My thoughts exactly. Almost rather go OEM than aftermarket unless I come across a killer deal. I really want some red leather S2000 seats, but only time will tell.
  12. Indeed, over-engineering at it's best. I'm still going at it though, played around with photo mode for a couple of hours. It was addicting in GT4, in 5 its downright ridiculous how good the cars look.
  13. Just got it today, on about my 8th hour straight Gonna have to put it down soon, but I pretty love it.
  14. Hmmm, seems to be kind of hit or miss depending who makes them. I'm probably just going to hold out for some 944 turbo/E30 Recaro's/S2000 seats.
  15. For one, I find it interesting that a Fairlady was brought over here that long ago. Secondly, I'm absolutely astonished that someone let it go to crap like that! What a crime
  16. Now I'm a very big believer in, "you get what you pay for". Example being, I spent $1000 on a pair of mint Recaro SRD seats for my old IS300 and LOVED them to death, amazing seats. Well I was scouring ebay for more SRD's and found these. I like the style, but I'm almost positive the quality is crap. Have any of you guys had any experience with ebay seats? Ebay reclianble buckets

  18. Ah, I'm not there yet, got about half a year left in Korea before moving to the next base.
  19. Hello gentlemen, My name's Will, 23 years old from Dallas, TX (please no Cowboys jokes, they themselves are the biggest punchline.) Air Force grunt since April '07, I'm an Aircraft Armament technician on A-10's, it has its cool days but its usually a 98% suckfest I think I finally got the Z bug when I had my 2nd car, a '95 240sx. I couldn't find one to my liking at that time so I ended up with a nice IS300 that I made look pretty good. Then I got orders for Okinawa and I can't take a car with me unless it older than 1976, perfect excuse to get a Z!!! Picked up my '72 from Fresno, CA and drove it non-stop back to Tucson, AZ without a hiccup. Car has very good mods, albeit pretty sloppy work which I'm trying to clean up when I get home. Many many many mods and money going into it. Biggest project on the chops right now is getting the fender flares installed, mounted some 235/50/15 Toyo R888's (if I can find that size!) on my precious 15x8 -26 15x10 -26 meshies. Patching 2 nickel sized holes in my passenger floorboard, new intercooler, retucking all the wires on my SPAL window system (ran out of time when I went back home for a month), and I REALLY need a diff!
  20. That kind of adultery should be illegal! Damn that looks good! I want to steal your air dam idea
  21. I've seen used ones come up on here from time to time. Might have to be patient and find a used one for sale somwhere, as far as I know they're well out of production. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  22. Wonder how long it took for both of them to get screwed, that fuel tank nearly took his head off. Yea OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK hahaha. Old school commercials are a trip.
