  1. A quick search of the archives would have yielded you this...... http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pparaska/Headlight_Relay_pg1.htm
  2. Damn, That'd be nice to go look at if I were in the market for such a thing right now, it's only about an hour away. I kick myself in the butt all the time for not going LS1 or LT1 in the first place.
  3. Ha, Pomona (Born there), Fontana (lived there as well), along with Ontario and Moreno Valley/Riverside is where I call "home"
  4. I agree with you, but if people still buy it then that's their own fault for looking to get "high quality" pieces from a marketplace like ebay.
  5. Looks like most everybody loves their own stock fendered cars ....
  6. Get some good H4's (or even a sealed beam Halogen) and then do the headlight relay mod and you should be good to go. PM me, I think I might have something for you! (H4's)
  7. Meh, I think they're a little big for the fenders, but to each their own CalifaThugz, I was stationed up at Irwin a few years ago, where were you then? I hadn't seen an S30 in the area the whole time I was there exept for the ones that I owned.
  8. I've actually used this one. It's PERFECTLY legal!!
  9. No, you don't have to, but be prepared to contort your arms in ways they may have never seen before
  10. The position looks to be almost exactly where mine sits, Me thinks you're good to go !
  11. I disagree, the different temps/speeds at which each material heats and cools is what causes this. Hell, I might be wrong, but that was just what I figured. Maybe and actual "body man" can chime in. Like I said, when it was finished it was perfect, the shadowing only showed up after numerous heating and cooling cycles.
  12. Could have broken teeth on the gear, or the cable might be binding up. I'd pull it out of the tranny for an inspect. If the teeth look good, pull the cable out of the sheath and take a gander. If everything looks good, I'd clean it up and give it a good lube. That should fix your problems, or at least show you what you need.
  13. This first pic is from a little distance, so you won't see much. This second pic you can see what I'm talking about, mind you this is the only pic of the shadowing I have but it goes all the way around the sides of the scoop as well. Like 280Zone said, his hood is a good option. It's a single piece and you won't have the issues of the shadowing like I did. Or, I'm assuming that you can get great results if you bond fiberglass to fiberglass, as opposed to bonding a fiberglass piece to the factory steel hood. Just my .02
  14. I see what your saying, and the reasons you gave are my same concerns, but won't you use "a little" of the stock wiring to some degree, such as the steering column switches and what not?
  15. OK, I've got all the old wiring out of the car (well for the most part anyway) and I've got the new wiring harness (mini 20 from http://www.ezwiring.com/) and now have come to my question. Is it a good idea to use the stock connectors? With maybe an inch or so of the original wiring used to tap into the new harness. I want to be able to plug and unplug everything as if it were stock, but if I use the original connectors, would that be defeating the purpose of all the fresh new wiring if it's just going through the old connectors? Just looking for some insight from those who know better.....
  16. I think the only problem with doing something like that is the same problem I had when having my "SS" hood made. When you bond the fiberglass to the steel hood, you're eventually going to have some shadowing around those edges. When my hood was first done, it looked immaculate........6 months later, the shadowing started to show.
  17. I love these wheels on a Z!! I think I might get a set of these when the money situation permits.
  18. Man, I just gave my spare R200 away just yesterday. Either way I don't think I could have gotten there in a day anyway. I hope SOMEBODY can help them out. I know the feeling being stranded because of Z failure....luckily a fellow HybridZ'er helped me out.
  19. Great looking part Roost!!! Got mine on Friday!! I'll bolt it up later this week
