  1. Been down with the flu last week and just starting to feel better. Anyways, I have looked through everything I can think of and have found no problems. Next time you post an ad please send me a PM with a link to it so I can watch it. Thanks, Dan
  2. Since I don't have the game (yet) does anyone know if: 1. It comes with a standalone server component? 2. What are the bandwidth requirements per user? 3. Max number of players at one time?
  3. Ya know, I have a spare server sitting around doing nothing.... hmmm....

  5. Welcome to our new Members Project’s forum. We have setup this forum based on suggestions made by members wanting to document their current Z project(s). Due to lack of support from the developer for our current member garage script VBGarage we have decided to setup this forum and begin urging members to move their current information (copy/paste works well) from the Members Garage to the new Members Projects forum as we will be removing VBGarage soon. To keep this forum from becoming a cluttered and out of control mess of replies and comments on other members projects we have changed a few of the posting permissions. The creator of a new thread is the only person who can reply to that thread and or edit there own posts. You can manage your thread however you like. You could just make a single post and go back and edit it as information changes or just keep replying to your thread sort of like a BLOG, it's up to you. I would suggest using your username in the subject field. Example: SuperDan's 72 240Z the coolest L6 NA on HybridZ Please post links to your technical threads where build topics are hashed out in public, as there will be no back and forth discussions in this forum. As usual these guidlines are subject to review/change and we encourage your suggestions. Thanks, Dan
  6. Agreed We can only hope so. Or if you have AGP and want to save a few $$$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143069
  7. Fixed. The search index keeps getting corrupted for some strange reason. I got a bad feeling it is getting ready to go south on us Oh well, it only takes about 12 hours to rebuild Dan
  8. Yeah it sucks here too. Today it got down to 64 and tonight it's suppose to get down to the 40's.... buuuuurrrrrr!
  9. Your hardware problems and the virus problem are 2 seperate issues, it was just a coincidence IMO.
  10. Yup, Timeslip and Garage are broken again due to a upgrade a while back. I need to do one more upgrade to VBulletin before I fix the others. Hopefully sometime next week. dan
  11. Since we are talking about PC condoms, here is my .019 cents. When I worked at SAIC years ago our standard AV software was and still is AFAIK Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition, small memory footprint and CPU overhead, no BS it just works. It's what I use for all my PC's and servers and the newer version has built in spyware detection/cleaning. For extra protection from Spyware (which is a bigger problem these days than virus) I swear by Microsoft Windows Defender, it's free and I have fixed a couple of PC's that have been infected by some nasty Spyware that nothing else available could remove it.
  12. I would try another CD drive. I cannot count the number of times I have seen a bad one cause the weirdest problems. They seem to work ok on a running machine but when you try to do a OS install all hell breaks lose. Just a suggestion.
  13. When you say "random points" at what part of the install are you talking about about? During the blue screen install (format, file copy etc) or during the GUI setup or both?
  14. Great job Doc! Give Jr a smack on the back fer me! Im jonesing...... Dan
  15. Stroke allways. Bevis or Butthead?
  16. Mine is still under construction, should be done by mid December. http://www.hybridz.org/superdan/garage.htm
  17. Not sure how this thread slipped past the moderators. Good topic, poor execution.... KNOCK IT OFF!!! Dan

    Ok,,

Major power failure, one of the down feeds from the city power lines fried and I lost 2/3 of the power to my house. That is all. Dan
  19. Yup, a TC can be brutal in various ways. Example, I have a 10 inch 44 mag barrel that has a comp on it. It is down right painfull to shoot with some of my hot loaded 240gr behind Win 296 powder. The same loads out of my super blackhawk are much easier on the hand. Also, there is different kinds of pain. I have a 14 inch .223 barrel for my TC that has a muzzle brake, the recoil is like a pellet gun but the muzzle blast and report are horrific! I once had one of my ear plugs slip out of my ear slighlty while shooting it, the pain was unreal, my ear rang for 2 weeks and I know I have lost some hearing in that ear because of it.
  20. Im gonna go with the .41mag also, nice round and if you hand load they can be pretty hot. In a TC if recoil is an issue then I would go with 7x30 Waters on a ported barrel, kicks like a 22 and very flat shooting. And I agree with the doc, a 7mm-08 on a non-ported barrell is gonna hurt after a while
  21. Im looking into it, it does appear that the upgrade to Vbulletin broke something in the classifieds. Thanks for the heads up. Dan
