  1. I slide my Z only very seldomly, I'm still running an open diff so it doesn't like to stay sideways lol Going to get a Phantom Grip LSD in the future though, so I should be able to go out to an event and see how she does. almost how the car sits currently (actually on stock rears as my rears haven't come in yet) I'm on sectioned strut tubes with Koni Red inserts up front with some no-name sleeve coilovers and like 400# springs and Tokico HP blues on the rear with the same springs but just sitting in the stock spring perches (also trying to get those replaced lol)
  2. my shitbox: rear wheels are temporary (as in not on anymoar lol) until mine come in
  3. I can finally make a half-assed post in this thread 15x8 -12 Falken Ziex ZE512 205/50-15 I rolled the fenders and added a 1/4" spacer after those pics, but I think I need some 1" spacers... (rears should be on in less than 2 weeks)
  4. idk what he used, but a friend of mine used the plug from an NA Z31 intake manifold (where the popoff would go on the turbo cars) for his.
  5. It won't be an issue. -10 is only going to make the wheels stick out a centimeter more.
  6. Those most definitely will not stick out on a Z31. Check out Z31performance.com for moar info. here's a couple examples of Z31's with 7" wide 0ET wheels: not the best pictures, but they show that they most DEFINITELY do not stick out at ALL. just another note, guys run 16x8" 0 offset ALL the time on Z31's, and they even run balloon tires with no probs
  7. They're all over Yahoo Japan... only available in Japan AFAIK. You could probably have one shipped stateside for a left nut or your right arm.
  8. SU's flow better than the stock EFI intake manifold, and doesn't have all the little problems associated with the wiring in the stock EFI.
  9. They should (not sure about the outer pieces, but the bumpers should bolt up no problem), but I don't see why you'd want to?
  10. Legit JDM bumpers are also lighter and don't stick out as far as the USDM ones.
  11. All this stuff is super old, the Z31 guy's have been using this style setup for a couple years now. Check out Serial9 adaptors (same ****, different smell).
  12. ^If I ever get another JDM cover, I might just do that...
  13. afaik, there isn't a difference between 280ZX Turbo and NA brakes, just a difference between Zenki ('79-'81)and Kouki ('82-'83) brakes. The Zenkis had a large elephant ear looking caliper with a smaller pad but a larger rotor (but just slightly) The Koukis had a regular looking small single piston caliper with a slightly larger pad and a slightly smaller rotor. I don't have any firsthand experience with both of them, but I would think the Kouki setup would be slightly better.
  14. roll/pull. hard. lol You'd be surprised at what you can fit with a good fender pull
  15. You measured from where the wheel mounts to the hub of the car to the edge of the inner lip? I've seen 3" backspace Diamond's before, and they had twice the lip of those... Not saying your car isn't sick (it is) but I just want to know what your specs are lol also, tire sizes?
  16. McNasty! I never thought I'd see you on the internet! I don't know you, but I've found pics of your car through various sources lol I love your car! need MOAR INFOZ!!! haha Only one thing though, I know those aren't 15x10 1.75" backspace wheels... I'll be poking with my 15x10 3.5" backspace wheels... lol
  17. What kind of headers/exhaust manifolds are you running? Any clearance issues at all? a friend of mine wants to do the same swap in his car, so it's cool to know someone has knowledge of the swap
  18. It doesn't. She drives straight and smooth, no problems. It gets a little rough when I change lanes and take out road dots though.
