  1. Sure Mike...Send me the bill...I'll put with the stack I'm going to use for heat next winter Black for Tim...hmmm
  2. I have this really disturbing mental image about Tim. It goes something like this... http://members.rogers.com/dotdotdot/Fire.mpeg
  3. I'd go for a web cam Owen. Some of us could use a still life artist and the daily mail. Things go so slow sometimes.
  4. Without, Terry. The added grill seems to put into two dimensions what is a wonderful set of three dimensional curves. Nice work!
  5. But there is no room for prisoners. They will just have to chain you to a fire hydrant until the old Fiat comes to get you…..now that would be humiliating.
  6. I knew a guy that jump started his dad. Dad was holding the cable in his right and had his wet, left hand on the fender while my buddy was cranking. I thought he was going to die. We all laugh at it now. His dad took up the bag pipes about a month later, so we don’t know if there was any permanent damage.
  7. It’s one of those energizer raccoons and your feeding it batteries! No wonder it keeps going and going…or coming and coming…
  8. Wow! Sir Dan’s car has a front side too. Guess he had to post it here before the mag came out just to avoid the heat we would give him. About time your Lordship. Looking sharp!
  9. Let me know when the HybridZ SoCal hats go on sale.
  10. Hey...I have been working on my car...I don't get out much any more...really...
  11. Ford in the UK is in deep cat litter over this one http://dpkgi.free.fr/files/ka2.mpg
  12. Ever have a tree over your driveway? http://www.theviralfactory.com/movie/FordBird.mpg
  13. project death in a Fast Z!...oh ya! Where is this ramp? I have to try it. Mine is the Eglington east to 403 west. There is no reason to do this execpt for fun. Four sweepers in a row. Wait a minute I'm still on jacks. Never mind.
  14. I think that is the stuff you spray in you frying pan. Up here we call it Pam.
  15. Down load Full_Throttle.WMV . Watch the RX7 on the flats near the end. Your car will have to be built with this possibility in mind. The car you are planning will be rewarding in the planning, building and driving sense. It would have to be constructed with a single purpose in mind. People gave me a smile that is usually reserved for crazy fools or people with guns when I told them I was going to put a V12 in a Z. Most people never would have believed a Z could do low 10’s like Scotties GNZ. The way I see it, all you have to do the fastest speed in this post plus one MPH and have the paper to prove it to achieve success. The fastest Z. Just keep in mind, I know it sounds cliché, safety first.
  16. Hey Sleek Z: If you could pass along our comments on his creation, if you haven’t already, that would be great. 1. I would like to know what process was used to weld all that pipe. I can’t see one guy sitting for days (weeks) on end with a TIG nozzle in his hand. It must be a machine of sorts. 2. How was the upper intake plenum formed? It has some sexy lines. Thank you.
  17. I’m with Tim. I doesn’t sound like a good idea. I cut mine, but they were Vette, 3 inch drive shaft tubes. Completely different. I have broken two ½-shaft suspension bearing, U-joints at speed. Not fun. There are no short cuts here.
  18. I love the design of these “McLaren style†plenums. At first glance the ducts look they might have been some exotic metal that could not be formed. There should be a few questions for Mr. Komiya’s builder from this board.
  19. I searched for spinners and knockoffs …wheels. Most spinners are easily adaptable. It’s just a matter of centering them. The whirly part is held on by ¼ inch bolt and a large washer. Very low tech. The ones I like are the ones found on the Cobras. $400+
  20. Outstanding Mr. Yuki Komiya. Somewhere in Tokyo a TIG welder is still cooling.
  21. I did a quick google. http://www.cragar.com/truspoke.html Mine are the Chrome Star Wire Spinner
  22. HA HA HA…You guys crack me up. Ya mine smells like all of the above too. Matt (Datsunlover) gets in my car last fall and the first words out of his mouth are “There’s that smellâ€. The thing is, you can still smell it hours after you have left the car. It clings to you like a cheap cologne. Maybe we could bottle it?

    Chrome Car!!

That Jag is polished aluminium. I would imagine the bumpers are chrome plated plastic. I deliver sodium hydroxide to a place that plates the plastic parts for new trucks. You can now plate anything with the right combination of environmentally depleting chemicals and electricity. Jag polished an XKE years ago. Looked about the same. Personally, I like chrome, but in moderation. The early Z has just the correct amount for my tastes. To drive this car I would need dark glasses…ride low in the seat…and an oversized fuzzy hat...with a feather...

    Ablums/Gallery

I found that if the image was smaller than the sample view, then the option to enlarge and the other options do not appear with the right hand mouse click.
  25. More trivia: The clutch master for the Jeep is the same part as the 1st gen Z. The hydraulic through out bearing for the 4.0L Jeep won’t fit anything else. I tried... and still have it. Both parts are pricy.
