  1. If I remember right the two cars were designed by the same guy, were they not? He also did a BMW open type sports car. A German dude. I would take that third car because nobody here loves it, I feel sorry for it.
  2. That looks really nice. I know your still doing body work but with the colour off on this monitor it looks like the paint scheme on the shark prototype Corvette from the sixties.
  3. Your going to have to PM me your number. I am going to be up your way at the end of next week. Pickerel Point (?) some where around Exit 162. However… it is a getaway for me and my lady so I probably won’t catch up with you. You know…no kids, house hold chores, CARS…. The car! The Iski cams are in. New bearings and rings… not yet fired up. The STI rack is on the car. I can’t believe it fits under that motor. Yet be done. Make brackets for the stock Subaru PS pump. Put on a pair of Cats. Target date is Aug 8th. Lots of pics to go up on other threads.
  4. Barrie huh. I thought that you would have all the advantages of a wild Saturday night closer to home. It would appear that August first has a clean cut Canadian cultural event of worth to attend. Bala Ontario In my youth, I have tossed my share of cookies in that bay. MONDAY JULY 19th RESORT FOAM PARTY SATURDAY JULY 24th TEA PARTY FRIDAY JULY 30th STAR SEARCH ROUND 2 SATURDAY JULY 31st SLOAN SUNDAY AUGUST 1st BIKINI TOP FOAM PARTY SATURDAY AUGUST 7th DOGS OF WAR & MT & THE TOASTERS FRIDAY AUGUST 13th THORNLEY SATURDAY AUGUST 14th THE TREWS & THE LOW SATURDAY AUGUST 21st KIM MITCHELL
  5. Nails rivets fasteners... I have had a bad couple of weeks. I have been pulling all that stuff out of my tires! Home Depot has some of what you need.
  6. We called mine "The Molson" for a time when it had the 340. Probably had more to do with the m/t bottles lining the work bench.
  7. It would be nice to see a SBD for a change. I had one once in a Z. It would be nice to see some pics.
  8. Mine did the same thing with a Dodge sender only longer on the full side. I special ordered a VDO gauge to rectify the problem. They sent the gauge with the ½ at the ¾ mark. Dammed heathens.

    Calling all T-56ers

I have been using a stock T56 behind the V12. The transmission is the least of my worries. I have shifted hard at high RPMs with out problems. The motor runs at 2000 RPM at highway speed with a 4:11 rear. Keep in mind I run with a lightened fly wheel and street tires. To be fair I have seen the Ratsun videos. The way the car launches puts your in a world that would stress even this transmission. But it is probably your best bet for a six speed.
  10. If it was a cost no object project, you could always get one of the BMW vending machines. Wonder how big the coins are?
  11. One of the minor things I enjoy is having everything on wheels. Some of the stuff in the garage is heavy. The lathe, welder, tool boxes and an industrial thickness plainer move around nice and lock when they have too. It makes cleaning up quick and when it comes time to relocate they go up the ramps with just a few minor back aches
  12. I get the most enjoyment from fabricating the parts (line 3) to put engines in were they don’t belong. Then I drive them. How many V12 car owners can actually push there cars hard? Having owned garage queen purist cars in the past I do appreciate a car then can be driven and modified to taste with out peer pressure. Build it and drive it.
  13. I'm hoping to be on the road to attend the OZC show on the 8th of August. You could pencil that in.
  14. Glad your up and running. It really is a good feeling. 8)
  15. I was looking at one today. Not bad. A couple of grand cheaper than a new Z. But my thought for the day was “How am I going to get that Hemi into one of those Cross Fires.â€
  16. I boxed in my door sills. I figured that these were connected to the front frame horns and would add support back to the rear wheel wells. My car’s power is applied in this area with the ‘Vette rear. I also sleeved the front frame rails and ran square tubes back to the rear. The car can be jacked at any point and the doors still open and close without binding. …But now I have a heavy car.
  17. I’m running with a Griffith as well. It keeps the V12 as cold as the thermostats are set. 160F. A very good rad. 8)
  18. Not a chance...I'm going to get my driveway done and that thing is a leaker
  19. I ran with wheel adapters for a few years. There were never any problems and they where checked from time to time. I have never known one to fail. But there was always an uneasy feeling about them. I eventually changed to a different hub.
  20. I had to use the fire extinguisher once. I don’t remember why. But I do remember cleaning up the yellow dust for a long… long time. Now I look for better ways to put out the flames…and that might not be a good thing. I’m glad there was no serious damage Rufus.
  21. I'm with Xander. Like what he said. Ground strap.
  22. Hey Aux: How did the sequential twin turbo work? Were they hooked up in series or are they parallel? (I’m assuming there were two) Nice job buy the way. Not your typical swap.
  23. Hey Phantom: You certainly have opened a can of worms. Stereo equipment has as many options as there are tastes of music. My solution was a Sony CD head with a pyramid 600W power unit driving some pyramid 6X9s. MP3 was not available at the time. The sound is merely adequate. Enough base to give you a headache and enough highs to make you’re ears bleed. Audiophile? NO. The sound from the motor and road noise (in my car) make it imposable to enjoy hi end sound. I can do that at home. I would just as soon listen to the V12.
