  1. I would go with a second wife. Double your income.
  2. I came out of a sub shop and found a guy laying on the road underneath my Z once. He had to see how I did the install. Turns out he had a convertible Z at home he was working on. I have to move. I have yet to find a girl, woman or old lady that is in the least at all interested in my car. Must be the creep behind the wheel. Enjoy the Z Mat... the cold is coming.
  3. Ferrari vs. train Or Ferrari blows timing belt Or Ready for the Chevy V8 swap Or …
  4. I’m running with an ’80 vette rear. It is a single bar link as apposed to the 4 bar C4. It doesn’t squat all that bad at the drags and the car handles like a vette …go figure. Mine uses the steel ½ shafts and the C4 has lighter alluminum ones. I think Scottie was having troubles with the U-joint holes going oval on the shafts. I broke a few ½ shaft U-joints before I switched to solid racing ones. The greatest draw back is the weight. If only the stock Z stubs were stronger.
  5. "Mounts are placed on the frame for the small-block Ford or Chevy you specify. Kit prices range from $14,500" hhmmmmm....Maybe when my Z expires or I get an offer I can't refuse, I'll have to look into this more.
  6. AAAAAAHH! V8s....poo poo Hey Matt, I thought the Ferris Bueller car was made from a kit...tube frame and all. I might be wrong though. I was looking at them with a twelve in mind but the disign would only hold a small Ford eight. Over heating V12....go on...really...
  7. Nice Score PeeJ: I got lucky in the same way. About 6 years ago my father in-law left me his machine shop. The only problem was that he lived live next to the Atlantic, ocean front, and all the surfaces had turned black. Other than the lost resale value everything works fine. It seems like every time I want to do something new I have to hit the books. It really makes one appreciate what you tool & die and machinists have had to learn to get your ticket. My condolences to the house.
  8. unless you're a hot blonde with big boobs, don't call me cute. thanks! Maybe I could "search for a conversion" and become one. Naw...It wouldn't work out right. They never do.
  9. That's going to produce a shipload of torque. I would like to see how you solved your exhaust problems. Automatic or standard?
  10. If you could put Steve McQueen behind the wheel you could call it the blob. “You’ve got to be really old to get that one. â€
  11. Thanks Sumo. I couldn’t get the other links to work.
  12. The rotors still spin when the clutch is disengaged. It is just that they are driven by the vacuum of the motor. Old style super charged cars had no problem getting home with a blown belt. It is just a little harder on the fuel economy.
  13. Wouldn't fuel injection deal with the 'on and off' loads more efficiently?
  14. I drive tankers 10 hours a day for a living. Every now and then you see some “body†that jumped out of his car only to get caught between a moving car and his own stopped car. Very messy. If your car is nice and warm. Let them come to you.
  15. Hey 240zoom: Welcome to the board! I would like to request the pics of your pan arrangement and transmission placement while you’re taking photos.

    "oh crap"

Got that right! Could be why he is looking at his feet.
  17. I been there! Sometimes you have a small buget and can't get sidetracked. How long does the die last? How good does it look? I tried some once years ago and ruined a pair of my friend's wife's pants. Has it gotten any better?
  18. Just a thought. Your car sat for a while outside. It might have some water in the tank that made it's way to the fuel bowls. You could try some fuel de-icer to get rid of it.
  19. Rule No. 7: "No dry humping!" OK I'm outta here...
