  1. I'm a complete gearhead so I picked "All cars Period" however i'm a little picky. As far as Nissan/Datsun are concerned i'm big on the S30. I don't mind the Z32, really like the Z33 and my old man owns a Z34 which is an awesome machine. Other cars I like would range anywhere from classic 60's muscle, 70's exotics/sports cars, a HUGE array of Porsches & Ferraris. The list goes on. A Porsche 930 is definitely on the radar for potential ownership in the future.
  2. Knock on wood, i've run my car two full seasons with a lot of driving and no issues at all on my set of DCOE 40 Webers. All over the province, all kinds of temperatures and conditions.
  3. That's funny. I always thought it was "A Z is A Z"
  4. Site looks great! Takes some getting used to but overall i'm sure it will be faster and more efficient.
  5. I didn't like that colour on the 370Z so much but on the S30 it looks fantastic. Excellent choice, and congrats on being a step further with the project.
  6. I'll likely have that sorted out in the coming season... Thanks for the comments though, glad you like it.
  7. Here's mine, sorry for the squat. Under acceleration and carrying cargo lol. (New springs all around before the upcomng season starts):
  8. Is this for a restore that you're trying to keep original or for another reason? Because I could likely measure mine fairly easily so you can make your own. My car's on the lift in my shop right now so it's just a matter of having a look.
  9. All of ours have returned to the earth I believe.
  10. That's a pretty impressive find! Good job!
  11. I love how stupid this guy is, he even pops the trunk before the hood! Awesome!
  12. I actually just read through most of that. People with that ability should be using their hands to perform heart surgery instead of playing with toy cars. And this is coming from a guy who likes model cars hahaha.
  13. A little bit of both, I was on the gas and the rears are a little soft. But you an see in my sig how it usualy its reasonably level. I have new springs to put in before next season though, just sitting in the garage ready to go. I also plan on adding the lower airdam portion of the G-nose kit in the near future.
  14. What a project! Very nicely done. He says he's dropped $130,000 into it so far? Holy crap! I like how every post is "the car now have". Makes me laugh, reminds me of my girlfriend's dad. He's Polish and doesn't speak english so well...
  15. Am I the only one that finds it terribly Ironic that a bunch of Datsun guys are faulting another car for being brutal rust buckets?
  16. I didn't see an answer as to why the owner ran it so long without changing the oil. Only I did read that he was concerned with running "conventional oil" during the cleaning period versus the usual synthetic. I'll assume he thought the synthetic was so advanced he could just skip multiple oil changes?
  17. Lol @ "hybidz.org" in pic. IMO the orange and black should meet along the bottom of the window line on the door. And follow along the leading edge of the fenders.
  18. So what happens if you set it to "blow" instead of "suck"?
  19. I have a similar setup in my 260 and i'm happy with it. It has the triple 40's, cam and such. I plan to upgrade the clutch/flywheel and do some more extensive head work in the future. For street use it's fairly fast. I just plan to take one of my spare heads and do a bunch of work on it.
  20. Is there a build thread on your car's setup? I'm interested in more info on this...
  21. I've been doing a rolling resto on my Z for the last 2 seasons. I bought the car with 54,000 miles on it and now it's sitting at 62,000 miles. Only an "occasional" fairweather driver, but mostly long road trips all across the province. I don't hesitate to drive my car distances because i've had it all apart myself and I am particular about noises/vibrations and such. Anyway, i've rebuilt all my suspension/brakes/u-joints/seals/all bushings and quite a few little odds and ends/cosmetic upgrades. I've managed to do all of this on less than $12,000 so far includng buying one of the cleanest Z's with the upgrades I wanted (Webers/R200 diff/ZX 5spd/Wheels etc.) so initial buy in was a little more. We tend to pay more for Z's up here in Canada because they're harder to find that haven't already rusted into a pile. We also generally pay more for parts because everything has to come from the states. So doing all the work myself I figure i'll have between $20 to $25K into it by the time i'm totally happy with it. The paint isn't perfect but I like to drive it (thought it cleans up nice). I have taken it to track days and killed a set of tires, if I want to look at a perfectly pretty black S30 i've got a really nice scale model in my living room.
