  1. Great vids! I've ridden lots of friends' sport bikes (i've raced motocross for years.) Tryin' to keep myself a little better behaved and off street bikes. That's how I ended up with the Z. I keep coming across the odd RC-51 that i'd like to buy though. The sound...
  2. Oh no, I hear it makes the car lighter and lowers fuel consumption considerably.
  3. ^ Easy tiger, he's lookin' for USED.
  4. Wow, that's a really nice red head for sure! This car always makes me smile though (pertaining to the thread title, and not because it's "nice". Just the grille).
  5. Good to hear you got it fixed! I've missed a month of driving due to tearing into some pieces on my car. Fingers crossed i'll have it done this coming week. It's always nice to find out it's the simplest thing... But we always assume the worst.
  6. I like the colour you finally picked. Great choice. But yeah, the cops are gonna see that thing coming a mile away. hahaha.
  7. Am I the only person who's seriously tired of hearing the word "EPIC" used to describe everything cool/funny on the internet?
  8. If the wheels are in good shape and you can part out the interior pieces and maybe some rear panels... I say:
  9. x2 on this for myself as well.
  10. Yeah I plan on painting mine in the coming years. The dings in my roof are awful when you look at it from the wrong angle. In for updates... Hopefully...
  11. I'm going by memory but I think the Haynes manual suggests a GL-4 gear oil. I have an R200 and run 75-90W Royal Purple (GL-4/GL-5 compatible).
  12. Seems like a good idea. I'm assuming that these eliminate the worry of busting the rod and losing control?
  13. I have the opposite problem. I can't seem to get my girlfriend to STOP slamming the passenger side door. They both close fine otherwise. (I know, hate me.)
  14. Whenever i've done it on any of my vehicles (pending there are no issues beforehand) is to mark the yoke of the driveshaft and the yoke of the transmission/diff with whiteout or a paint marker. Replace the joints I needed to and then ensure it's lined up again once replacing it. Never had an issue doing it this way. Someone else might have more insight than myself though...
  15. Good tips slownrusty... I would've thought a mesh wheel would be too abbrasive.
  16. Doesn't look too bad at all! Those wheels look a lot like mine. (Enkei 92 Mesh). Only mine are black.
  17. Nice build! Who does the Skyline belong to?
  18. No yours looks really good. Unless it's a dedicated show car that's going to fetch money, I personally wouldn't have the motivation to put any more time into it.
  19. Gotta wait 'til the very end of October or early November before it goes away. Either steady cold temps or snow, whatever comes first.
  20. Yeah i've been thinking about doing mine and have an idea on what i'd like to paint on the top. The bitch is that I don't have a spare gasket and don't really feel like taking it off the car, i'd rather drive it. Doing it right on the car is impossible. So i'm keeping my eyes peeled for a spare cover or at least waiting 'til I have the car put away for winter again in a few months to do it...
  21. One word for that: Spectacular! So cool, calm and collected. Didn't panic at all. Amazing.
