  1. When and where did you sell it? Might make it easier to start to track it.
  2. Well that's so subjective. You could spend a lot of money on mechanical stuff and have a car that runs great but leave all the cosmetics alone. Or spend little money replacing mechanical, only what's needed and have a nice looking car. Or go all out. I mean for a budget build car I don't think you'll find a much better candidate for your money than a Datsun.
  3. A busted looking piece? Man, you've got low expectations.
  4. ^ I'm with Jerry B and i'd have to say it isn't a necessity. I've got a sway bar in my 260Z from the factory with new poly bushings. But i've driven an older 240Z without the swaybar and I can't say it's a noticeable change. Certainly not worth the money and hassle in my opinion. Depending on the type of driving you're doing though that could greatly change your thoughts on this.
  5. All this talk of engines flying around could easily be solved by simply securing them. Properly.
  6. I've found this to be the most effective way. You don't have to try and awkwardly hold the diff.
  7. That looks great! I never was a fan of the factory ZX dash setup. You gave it a nice, timeless look. Very well done.
  8. Nice score! Same setup i've got on my car intake and all (if i'm reading things right). 40 DCOE's?
  9. I don't think "will it haul an engine" is an issue. I mean most vehicles' GVWR allows them to haul a few hundred pounds on top of the weight of the passengers. So you figure a that Raider allows for 3 passengers plus the driver. Put them all at 200lbs each and you get the idea. An engine would be no problem. However space-wise I doubt that little Raider would fit the bill.
  10. Nice videos! Not long hooking up out of the hole at all. That's an impressive setup for a stock block etc.
  11. NAPA rear shoe kits are pretty cheap and come complete with everything to do it. They even still have it listed for the Z's on their system.
  12. Oh great, a headache of a car that doesn't run comes along with ANOTHER headache.
  13. Yeah but you're from Canada so as car enthusiasts we pretty much have to deal with that. Having said that, even in Canada I found a car in better condition. Keep looking and best of luck. Nice Z32!
  14. Looks like a decent project with a good start. Funny the odd-ball info you can pick-up on this site, I didn't know the door cards weren't interchangeable from 240/260.
  15. That's brutal news. Sounds like a few have been stolen in the So Cal area in recent months.
  16. I dunno, but they're likely garbage. Sell them to me so you don't have to deal with them.
  17. Sums up everything i've ever said and thought about the $Green$ movement.
  18. I've got a Jeco in my 260. It didn't work when I got the car over a year ago and it doesn't work now. However, it does manage to work its way ahead by one minute every couple months.
  19. Wow, I hadn't seen any "finished" pics since you painted the car Phil. It turned out really nice! I'm impressed. Just the right amount of black with the wheels/flares IMO. Nicely done.
  20. It's such a subjective question. Depending on your budget, time and resources the car may very well be worth it. But if this is your first S30 then i'd say pass. Z's have a tendency to show rust in the weirdest nooks and crannies that you'd least expect even when they're MINT on the outside. The fact that this car is that rough in appearance to begin with hints at a nightmare once you start getting into the meat and potatos.
  21. Maybe in the future. Right now it's just Triple Webers.
