  1. starting to plumb the npr, wondering what different sizes would do in terms of lag and spoolup. im looking to run a 3" mandrel to the tb (60mm+3inch) so it matches the opening in the tb and the porting done to the intake, and a 2.5 or 2.75 to the turbo, for now im going to run the stock turbo on it, turn up the boost the little bit, and have fun. wondering what lag will be like once i do this, i know i will have a lot of pipe to pressurize, i dont know how its gonna fit, but i got a angry holesaw thats ready to work with me on it though.

  3. it would be really nice to have a 24valve L28et, i heard that head is good for 15% power increases on an NA motor stock, imagine when you start pouring boost into it. oh man, maybe he will hook you up for a good price, you never know. i would just get the head as a template...... or i would run just so i could pop my hood at motorsport show after driving 800 hard ones on it, and flip everybody off all at once, with my crossflow turbo headed monster. get it if you see its the right price.
  4. throw it in the gutter, and go buy another, im not sure what your trans is doing, but sounds from the gears is never good.
  5. kragen, napa, mackenzie, and every other auto parts store have them for like 100.00 a side and it usually is less after you return the old ones for cores.
  6. i dont like working back there at all, hey at least im getting my full boost in every gear, cant wait till this clutch starts giving out from all the boost load!
  7. dual t04bs would make HELLA boost, im not sure if even those would be too small maybe go twin T04es 500hp walk in the park-or a walk in the dark if you havent worked with turbos before. its not easy, but it sure is fun-like crippin and pimpin.
  8. its a wannabe limited slip that works good for drag racing from what i hear, but not so hot in turning and doughnuts, basically its a mini spool.

  10. we are having the same issues fitting headlight buckets on my friends gt500 clone, it is typical of fiberglass parts, it looks like you are going to have to lay some resin down, and i wouldnt get so upset over it, my buddies hood cost him 500.00 and it didnt fit either.
  11. its not a waste of time making a scarab handle, they handle well, i had one for 3 years and 30k worth of DAILY DRIVING, so i know i know what im talking about, and yes i think in a full Autox condition with a jtr z with equal or more hp and equal suspension and a equal to or better driver, the jtr car will have the advantage, not the win, but the advantage. it has NEVER been proven that the scarab cars have had a handling problem, and I can tell you for sure that they dont, and mine didnt have any kind of overheating problem either, with a flexalite engine driven fan and a backup electric fan that i never used, and it ran 13s all day with a tired four barrel 327 with cast manifolds and a four speed, and I was the KING OF IMPORT AND STREET RACING IN GENERAL for three years and more than one hundred seperate incidents with anyone that would dare play with fire. heres what i ran suspension wise energy suspension bushings 1" front sway bar 3/4 rear sway bar(later removed for traction) adjustable coilovers in rear with eibach springs 275lb springs in the front, yes overkill, every bump made me kringe, but i could carve corners like a rat wearing sneakers ( i got that from greg kring), i had on throttle oversteer at my every wish, and i loved every moment of it, until i bent the frame from the tc rods to the floor, everything bent, hell yeah that fairlady 327 served me well and never saw a corner it didnt like, dont let people convince you that it wont handle, the straight six is not centered in the chassis either, and it corners well, now get back under it! I personally cant wait until the day I can say my turbo car will spank Fairlady 327, man oh man sometimes i miss that raw grunt
  12. i think the 250hp cap is for a completely stock setup i think, down to the fuel pump and regulator, i know two people who are putting down nearly 300hp wheels with stock efi, with 370injectors, bigger fuel pump, fpr, and some afm touching, and i think it just takes some know how down there to make it happen. i know that for hp levels 300hp and beyond, its takes more than a programmable system to make that power as well though, im only shooting for 300hp with this efi setup, and im gonna do it slow, and with 8 injectors
  13. its pretty easy i think, you will need a factory service manual for zxt i think, it has the wiring diagram in COLOR!!, they do sell the microfiche on line somewhere or maybe someone can burn you a copy, i only have it in the manual form. you will also need a 240z manual to cross reference. should take you a week or so to complete.
  14. doest the taurus fan use like 35amps? i like electric fans, right now mines wired up to run all the time, pretty soon im gonna switch to a dual 12" flexalite setup with a thermo switch anyone ever see how the turbo zx radiator works with a v8??, that thing bolts right into a 70-78 car and its a better core radiator. i think an efi 302HO ford is the cheapest efi motor you can hop up wit factory parts, ford is actively competing with the aftermarket and their prices are just as much or cheaper than aftermarket parts, and they are genuine ford parts, but then the only american motor i can see droping in my car is the GN motor or the Syclone 4.3 with boost and the 2004r, stompin.
  15. dual t04bs would be nice, i think a t3 based turbo on a v8 would spool way too quickly to be of any use.
  16. i still think stock efi is the best to get it running, and i do have one or two tricks up my sleeve.
  17. i now am the proud owner of both ICs, and wanted to know if anyone knew the CFM rating of the smaller NPR intercooler, i know that the supra one flows around 500cfm, its super thick, but doesnt have that FMIC look to it for me, but ill use it if i have to. I know Alex is about to blast me for going for an fmic at the boost levels im going for, but i gotta have it, for better or worse, on the bright side, im really looking hard at that SDS eic.
  18. my buddy cant find one and wants an OD trans in his shelby replica, i was hoping one of you guys knew of a modification or a trans that will allow big block for overdrive??? thanx.
