  1. Love it. Great work! So why go for adjustable lca if this is just a weekend car?
  2. Wow someone is busy! We need some pics.... Can't wait till it's finished.
  3. Great plans, and yes 250 will be very doable at 10 psi. And a mild tune. While your into it what cam are you planing? (the early carb ones are better than stock turbo)
  4. That was a dirty movie.... Brown chicken brown cow!
  5. A few KA heads got fitted to a L31. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/54764-my-official-l31dett-rhd-thread/
  6. I thinks its just a repaint..... Link.... ( has two pics, maybe the third from the top, and the other is buried in the small thumbnails) Edit: Just have your image host re-size it for you, I know imageshack and photobucket will.
  7. Sounds good to me! Would make MS turbo swap even better! (in an S30)
  8. Wow, that should purr real nice when it's all finished. But why go through all tha work when an RB block is easily available in Aus.?
  9. "Snoop" is what we use on aircraft hydraulic and fuel lines and it works great, but it is pretty much soap and water as TonyD stated...... So I guess this is a ditto post. Any way hope you are leak free!
  10. I for one LOVE it. Its unique, I think most people will find it too flashy. Congrats on the project.
  11. You know you own a Datsun when it has been on jack stands longer than on the wheels. When your wife/ gf starts sending YOU pics of every one she passes. You see a random car part and start thinking how you could "make it work".......
  12. What have you checked? We can't help you if you don't help us. How are your plugs? Any timing advance? Filters changed? Vacume leaks? If you think it's fuel get a guage on it and see if there is any change in pressure as you rev it. It could be the pump or a clogged filter/ pickup. It might even be spark related, an old rotor or cap could do the same thing. Hope you can figure it out!
  13. Very good write up. Thanks for the time put into this. Sticky???
  14. Fill it with cheep oil and some detergent additives. Turn it over by hand, or with the starter. Pull the pan and valve covers, after draining the oil, and spray down with some diesel till you are satisfied there is no debris left. No harm done and you won't have to tear it all down. You should also remove and clean the oil pump. Edit: P.S. looking good. Hope all works out for you.
  15. Well you can add me to the list of Seattleites.... although I am further north, I think it still counts. I am currently finishing my rotisserie build so I can fab some new floor pans and rails. Your Z is coming along nicely. hope to see it come together soon.
  16. Yes I have been drooling over these designs. But we all know what looks good on paper or at a car show RARELY ends up available to the public.
  17. Guess I did come off negative in my post. It was more of a chuckle. Yes there was some searching involved. I was going to post a more recent build but I totally forgot about it.... Oh well. Good luck getting it on the road! =]
  18. Necro post.... I am pretty sure he sorted it out by now. Considering it's up and running.
  19. Just get some that fit. MAKE SURE to use a LOCK WASHER under the head and you will be fine.
  20. With all this progress it's sad to not see the pics. I understand the reason to be disgruntled. The rules are set for a reason and following them is a requirement. Please leave a link to pics or a new build thread. You have done more in a week than I have in a year!
  21. There is a LHD front swap that could give more insight.
  22. Well touché! I see the vision, you sir have some skills.
  23. Wow, amazing work. The welds are perfect! But why the 2 inch sections? Was longer sections not available? Seems like waisted time. I look forward to more updates and a picture of the bumper spoiler removed.
