  1. Blake always gets top dollar for his stuff because he cleans it up, paints it, installs new hardware and gaskets, etc. I don't begrudge him it one bit. He starts most of his auctions off at 1$.
  2. A cat is the obvious choice, as long as there's no reason you can't get one. As a plan B, the "humane" traps (glass boxes with 1 way doors) actually work really really well. Feel free to torture the mice to death afterward, I'm only suggesting this because of effectiveness.
  3. Both parties were in the wrong. The cop is supposed to give a verbal "taser warning" before tasing anyone. Notice he lies about that later to the second cop. He also could have avoided the entire situation by saying "if you don't sign the ticket, I have to place you under arrest" instead of getting his rocks off by manhandling someone who was doing the heinous crime of going 68 on a highway. Seems like a lot of people go into law enforcement in order to keep bullying people the way they did in high school.
  4. Save an email notification search on ebay. I've seen 3 HKS plenums and 1 cartech show up in the last 6 years. I hope you're patient and willing to spend 300$ at the very least.
  5. I wonder how long it's been sitting without spark plugs? Still, deal city. I wish it was closer to me.
  6. What they said, plus, don't forget the lid area under the hatch, and the hatch itself. Check the firewall closely. Don't be afraid to pull up carpet to check either. It's not hard to put in and take out. Better now than later, and if he doesn't like that idea, pass. He says it's not running...just make sure it HASN'T been driven around with that blown head gasket and coolant in the oil. Otherwise that engine's not worth much. Good luck!
  7. Thumper, I don't know what year tach you're talking about, but I have noticed that the response rate in the 77/78 tach is much better than the 76 (and I assume earlier.) Using the Crane Cams Hi-6 rpm test mode you can watch it snap to the correct reading very quickly, whereas the 76 is slower and bouncy. I prefer the stock tach, too (it has my blinker lights built in) so I'm going to try and ditch the aftermarket tach if possible. Let me know how it goes Phil!
  8. So you don't have a 76 FSM? There's a picture of it in the BE section, I believe. If you don't have an FSM, get one. Trust me, you won't regret it.
  9. If you don't want an 8.5cr it seems like an obvious no. Fair price if the work was done well, but why pay a fair price if that's not what you're looking for?
  10. Mario beat me by a few seconds there...but I've never tried using MS to drive my coil as shown in those diagrams. I'm just running the FIDLE to my MSD box (only option available back when I first set this stuff up.) I was using an aftermarket tach to read the MSD output, but I'm about to try and switch back to the factory tach using the tach adapter. Have you had any problems with the VB921? I read enough posts where people were frying it to make me leery of recommending that route to people.
  11. Are you using MSD or a Hi-6 to drive your coil?
  12. Nice! We have several posters in common. I'm going to clean up my garage right now.
  13. I'm pretty sure that post is a joke. But then again, I give the human race more credit than they deserve sometimes.
  14. I think he means Harajuku...if you are there on Sunday I'd hit Harajuku and Akihabara...you have to see it to believe it.
  15. I would not do business with anyone who cut me off and hung up on me. If you weren't being rude, then there's no excuse for that. In the specialty market, customer service is extremely important. I also think Robello gave you some solid advice. A 300whp goal on an L28ET doesn't warrant race-prepping an engine. Nissan did right by us to begin with. Good luck!
  16. This is why I buy my rails from Pete. His mounts are freaking awesome.
