Those are the wrong rails. He means the ones the front bumper bolts to. You pop the hood, your harness runs right down them. You could make them super strong and use 2x4 steel. I know there are kits out there just don't remember where.

WRONG! I am surprised you don't know the chassis differences. The Early 74 cars had the skinnies. Some had 280z rear and a skinny front and others had both the 280z style bumpers.

Agree'd You should probably make something to like shift if you plan to mount your transmission that far forward. Again, just an opinion, could always be converted to an Outside seated vehicle.

Yes that's a Series 1 car. Yes its worth more to some people, no to others. That's a low vin, if its not trashed (rust bucket) then it is worth more than a later 240z to most I would assume.

I think its a really clean car. If I bought it the auto would go quick. I would buy it in a few days as I will be driving right past you but I don't have the money. I would love a clean slate z like that.

They meet every I think first but might be second Thursday of the month. Check the site, they do tech sessions and stuff. They have lots of meets, I would go to them but I will be moving. Their are club dues, but it does not go without benefits (10% MSA discount and I believe Dealer Pricing at Melloy Nissan)

They should have met there tonight. I don't know, driving to ABQ that much is killer on my gas. I have to have an issue cause even highway I only get 17mpg. I am rich I know that but not that rich.

This is a super rare model as the 260z is known only made in 74 but this isn't a 260z you see, its the super rare 260zx which they made only in 73 right before the 260z came out. Its EXTRA fast! Forgot to add, with the bumpers this car is a 280z, hood tells me 77-78. Maybe somebody really liked the 280z bumpers better and swapped them, but I would think if he is saying its a 73 that means its and early 260z with a 73 build date.

So other than tuning my car what advantages would I gain from putting Mega Squirt on my car? I figure mega squirt would help get the car running better and put some more power down. I was also wondering other than not having a Dizzy what EDIS will do for me? Will it free up any more power by taking drag off? I wouldn't think so. Obviously it will get rid of the old school points ignition. Would it be smarter to just go turbo and run the MS with that or would MS on an N/A car really make enough of a difference. EDIT: Are the half shafts rebuildable? My passenger one is going out, if I can put new U-Joints in it then I will just do that with both of them when I do the suspension.

Sure thing, by any chance were you at the SQC dyno day? I don't think you were as there was no mention of any other V8 powered z except the SQC v8 turbo z. Maybe you were at the Z club x-mas party? I am very bad with remembering people sometimes.

Whats a way to test if injectors are opening and closing and working? I know a shop that will do it but it will be like 27 dollars for 1 injectors. I don't want to spend 150 on all 6 either as I could get those new ones. I found my old 76 injectors and wanted to see if they will work so I can just replace at least the number 1. I think it has completely quit working, but replacing it with a non working injector would be stupid. I was told a 9 volt would work, that did not work. Any other ideas? Thanks.
