I blew through in a hurry, but you should have signal at center pin of the o2 sensor plug and power one one outside leg with ground on the other. Those are the heater wires. It would not shock me if you don't have your ground or power on the heater which screws everything up too. As for the leaky TB, its shot if thats the case. There is no cure unfortunately. If its minor enough, I say tune it out and be done with it. Evan

I had trouble with a 30 gal craftsman when I painted a car at one point. Not enough flow. Panel painting would have been fine, but thats not the right way to do a whole car. It will look like it has been panel painted most likely.

Well, I did end up getting that motor-less drill press. I also got a motor off of craigslist. So for the paltry sum of 85 bucks plus gas... I have a big upright press. I have the slotted table that looks like you can slide the head of a bolt underneath to clamp things tight. That seems like a pita. Do you guys use any type of clamp that you like? I had my first piece try to get away from me yesterday *yikes*. I don't have any holes that go completely through the table. Evan

Thats exactly your problem then, if your goal are those power levels you need a 14psi spring. A 7psi spring was dropping boost at about 17psi for me. Evan

Deal fell through, they were VW seats. My first set was from a bmw, which there are some bmw recaro kits on ebay.

Tony, if the car is making 7psi anyway run a 7psi spring. I had a helluva time with my car running a 7psi spring and trying to run over 18psi. It just wouldn't do it. Wastegate kept blowing open. I have had great luck since swapping to a one bar spring. Wouldn't surprise me if you gained a bit of boost response moving to a 7psi spring. Seems that it won't change your minimum boost anyway. Its likely the case that w/g won't flow enough to allow you to run 3psi (and why would you want to). Best of luck! Evan

The turbo should spool faster with a larger downpipe. If your gate isn't able to allow you to run 3psi, either the routing of the exhaust is not flowing enough or the gate isn't big enough to allow you to run 3psi. Sounds like its not normally a problem, but during cold weather it becomes one. You might have the gain set too high on the controller as well, which will allow it to overshoot boost by opening the w/g too late. Evan BTW, don't you have that tial 38 piped off of an internal wastegate hole? I had that setup a couple years ago and boost was all but uncontrollable. Moving it to the exhaust manifold made everything more consistent!

650 for a pair of seats is a very good deal IMO. Evan BTW; Nobody is going to do a worthwhile job for 300/pr of seats. That damn near eats up all the materials costs.

You have a 3psi spring and make 7psi anyway? Yeah sounds like a dead/dying solenoid to me as well.

Pretty common actually, alot of guys stretch tires like that when the bead won't seat. Evan
