  1. I just thought of something. Has anyone thought about installing a ZX rack upside down? What I mean is using a LHD ZX power rack in a RHD S30 and a RHD ZX power rack in a LHD S30? I have no idea about lengths or mounting but could this work? Joe
  2. Here is Dave's files of the spacers. Front10mmREV2.PDF Rear25mmREV2.PDF
  3. Yeah Dave, I don't have the files here at work either. I'll post them as soon as I get home. Hopefully I can get them made for a reasonable cost. Hell I didn't even spend that much on the wheels! Joe
  4. Hi Guys, I'm trying to find a machine shop in the northeast that can make wheel spacers from a CAD file. Dave (cygnusx1) created the files for me after taking extensive measurements of the hubs and wheels I am using. Thanks Dave! My problem is the current financial situation doesn't seem to be effecting shops in my area as I'm getting quotes of over $700 for 4 spacers! Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop? I don't mind paying but this seems ridiculous. Thanks Joe
  5. "Cletus" found it for me!
  6. John, I vote for "Cletus" under Clive's status name! Expecting my status message to change, Joe
  7. This one actually looks better than my old one! I was only joking since I was able to fine a crack free dash. Joe
  8. Check this thread, post 22. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=144525 Let me know if you are interested. Joe
  9. What?! You're ruining a series 1?! Come on man say it ain't so! Surely you'd want to keepit completely stock as these cars are getting more scarce by the minute! And before I get "scolded", yes, it's a joke. Joe
  10. Yes, there is a list where you can download different tunes for EFILive. http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/modifiedTunes.php Joe
  11. Sorta looks like the time I hit a crab net with the boat only much worse. The crabnet completely wrapped itself around a Merc3 dual prop. Me and a buddy spent the next 3 hours in the water with pliers unraveling all the wire. Thankfully we were in a no wake zone so it only stalled the motor with no harm done. Joe
  12. Larry, Which straps did you use to hang the F body tank? It almost looks as if you used the stock Datsun straps?! Joe
  13. I'm up behind the glove compartment inside the car. I'd take pictures but since the car is at the bodyshop that will have to wait. Joe
  14. I agree with Tyson. Speartech wiring harness and a GM ECU. HPTuners or EFILive (I use that one) to modify the GM tune in the ECU. In my opinion since this is your first attempt at EFI would be to wire the car with a Speartech harness and grab an ECU out of a post 2002 F body. Oh scratch that last sentence since I don't know what year engine you have. In any event, get her running and then get yourself used to using the tuning software. Once you do that and you are happy with the way the car runs, then you can start with one modification at a time. Tuning as you go along. Believe me, this is the only way to go without paying someone else to do the tuning for you. So, what year motor did you get? Joe
  15. Right with ya there David. A LOT more reading than posting! Congrats to the team, admins and members, for making this site possible for the last 9 years. Joe
  16. To really give an answer as to which way is better you have to know how the heat temp is controlled in the GM car the came from. If the water flow is controlled then blocking would be the better choice. If flow is not controlled and the temperature is controlled by duct work of some kind then looping would be your better choice. I figure if the flow is blocked to control temperature, then by blocking the heater lines will not effect the cooling system's ability to remove heat as the system would be designed to work at peak efficiency when the heater control valve was closed. When it's hot outside and the heat isn't being used. Obviously I'm assuming the GM engineers took this into consideration when designing the cooling system.
  17. Can you email me the bin file that you used? Although, like others, I suspect you detonated because of the high boost and lean AFR I'd still like to see how the tune is set. I'm also running 8.5-1 CR and I also use a TEC (although it's a TEC II). With 93 octane and a bone stock head and turbo cam I could only muster 16 lbs of boost with my timing curve before detonating. With all that work done to the motor I would pull the head to see what happened in the combustion chamber with the damage. Then just fix what is damaged. It sounds like you have all the right parts, just need to manage it the right way. FWIW, Joe
  18. I can't see how NOT balancing a rotating assembly with a balancer and flywheel could be a smart move ever. What is the worst thing that can happen? Putting everything on the balancer and finding out the whole assembly is spot on? My thinking is it's a gamble to not balance and since I don't like to gamble I have balanced every motor I have built. I can't tell you if I'm just lucky or not, but all of them are still working fine. Just my 2 cents. Joe
  19. Hey Justin, I work in NYC down where the Trade Center used to be. If you plan on hanging out in the city, maybe I can meet you somewhere on my way home. Monday and Wednesday's are always out but I could probably do something any other day. Also, maybe we could do something at my house. Clive is always around hanging in my garage so that might also be an option. Let me know what you think and when you'd be arriving. Joe
  20. Like Janaka said, we need more info. Colt asked if there was power at the pink wires, if so, do they stay hot when the car is cranking? Something as simple as a power feed for the ECM that is switched off while cranking could be the issue. Let us know what you have done so far to troubleshoot and I'm sure we'll get it fired. Joe
  21. They look like 5 lug to me. We can make it fit! Joe
  22. Look at the audience you just posted this to! Austin can whip up a Z32 adapter plate in no time! Oh, and I want the brakes:mrgreen: Joe
  23. Why do you think I asked to see pictures of Scott's car? A V8 240Z with no heat? Hmmm......If I can see the firewall while looking at the front of the dash (like someone elses car I know), there's gonna be some work to do! Joe
  24. Bring it up this Sunday afternoon. I can show you what controls what. In the meantime can you post a picture of what the dash looks like now? The "no dash controls" statement is scaring me joe
