Another thing to keep in mind... its easier on the metal .... try to get it at a 45 degree angle as opposed to straight on 90 deg...

This sux... Why is everything made so cheaply and not made to last ?? What happened to those days?.. you spend a decent amount of money for something and it still sux... I bought an 80 gallon compressor made by Campbell Hausfeld and had it for a little over a year.. it has (had) a 100% duty cycle... Tonight it took a $hit on me.. The pressure switch gave up the goat.. part of it melted.. Also, I have noticed when draining the water, there seems to be more oil in there here recently mixed in with it.. I have already topped the oil off a couple of times since I bought it.. I have a job that I am supposed to finish up this evening that is not going to happen now.. I need to sell this piece of crap and get a decent one.... very soon, my entire business revolves around it.. /rant mode off...

Parts washer will work... it will also cause it to expand (don't leave it in there too long) but also makes it easy to tear while its still wet from the the cleaner.. In a pinch, it is better than using the old stuff that is falling apart.. BTW... won't petroleum products cause rubber harm anyway ?? like ATF ??? I would use some type of silicone to seal it..
