  1. I should have worded it a little better..... Its a street LEGAL car...
  2. That looks like you're right.. I did that when I first started shooting with anything with any real power to it. They taught us to use the pad of our finger and to "press" instead of "pulling" the trigger under the finger joint.. It helped a lot.
  3. Are those thunderbird taillights ??? :edit: didn't read the entire description.... Those rear shocks look like they are the air type.
  4. I'll see if I can get a close estimate of the trip costs..
  5. If I am not mistaken, I think natural gas has less available energy per unit than gasoline... so I would think power would suffer and it would take more units per mile than gasoline.
  6. Nice kill... Gotta love all the negative comments some left on the streetfire page
  7. I've already started the teardown of the car... as soon as I get those pictures up, I'll let you know of the updates...
  8. Really?? Can you send me a screenshot ?? I don't see it...
  9. Hey guys, just thought I'd post the workings of a site on my 510 wagon project.. Its in its infancy at the moment... but you can have a look anyway.. mainly just the beginnings of the project is up at the moment... more of the actual build coming soon. So if you've got time to waste, here it is.. http://www.technacolor.com/wagon/ There is a video of the Historic Rim Rock Drive at the Colorado National Monument on page 9
  10. Thanks ! That site has a lot of good information on a leaf spring setup. i'll look into the sliders.. I will be flipping one of the springs to see how much lower I need to go.. and the spring rate. I like the slider idea. I'm not putting any lowering blocks on it.. It doesn't leave you much room to work with and those sliders might do the trick.. I wonder where I can get some size information on the sliders??
  11. Not a Z but I am building the 510 wagon's suspension, Ross has be covered in the front but its the rear leaf setup that I need some guidance on. The stock leaf suspension will be lowered about 2". Now, to get the shock back in range I am going to run a shorter shock, and with a little less travel. What are the differences between car and truck shocks???? Seems that all the ones I look at with the correct dimensions are all truck or van shocks... thanks
  12. R.I.P. My thoughts go out to the family.
  13. When I put one of those on my modified '77, I could immediately tell that it had sucked some of the power.... They do sound good though.
  14. It looks good... but for some reason, to me the they look better with the chrome bumpers on them...
  15. I didn't think you were implying that powder coating is bad, but for those certain special alloy wheels (billet or lightweight racing wheels),.... powdercoating is bad.. It doesn't take long for the alloys to start losing their strength. Factory and most aftermarket wheels I will do, but not ones that I suspect are made of special alloys. (I wish I could though , people that can afford those wheels usually have deeper pockets )
  16. I would add that on stock and most "over the counter" type aluminum wheels powdercoating is fine. Many wheels come coated from the factory.. However, like you stated, billet type and specialty lightweight racing wheels "heat treated alloy" I would not touch due to their composition. I have had a few requests of that type and had to turn them down.
  17. What engine ?? Hydraulic lifters? OHC ??
