  1. Very nice job... Polishing sux... dirty and labor intensive.. but it does look good though.
  2. ahhhhhhhh... damn !!!!!!!! OWWWWWWWW!!!!
  3. Finally... the car has gone to the paint jail.. All the doors have been welded up, epoxied, and primered, blocked and primered again.. Engine bay is next. The new smoked E30 BMW projectors have been fabbed up (to get the engine bay ready to paint, the inner fenders needed a little persuasion. ) The car is actually progressing faster than I thought it would...especially for a complete teardown and buildup. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow..
  4. Congrats JT1 and Tom! I need to make it over to CMP pretty soon.. something that is that close, yet I have never been... Hopefully when the wagon is completed I'll drop in over there..
  5. Sucks that it happened, but good that you found the cause. At least it did hold up like that on the track for quite a while though. This isn't in the yellow car is it ?
  6. When my brother had his F3 he always used DOS to run the program.... not an emulated version... He just loaded it on a floppy and booted the laptop on the floppy drive.. Worked fine.
  7. When I bought my first one.. It was a 60 gallon 10.4 CFM unit... It is okay with everything but extended use with a die grinder or DA. Sand blasting is 5 minutes at a time. I upgraded to a 80 gallon 19.5 CFM unit and it works very well... The only problem I have now is that I have upped the pressure on my blaster since it can produce more and it will run out of air at 120 psi @ 21 CFM in about 5-10 minutes.. Moral of the story... get the biggest one you can afford if you plan on using it a lot.
  8. Another reason I need to win a lottery... That car would have been in my garage...my new garage... and my new house... and my new plane... and........
  9. something like this.... http://www.warbird-photos.com/americanflyers-2-5-05/images/IMG_1183.JPG
  10. I had the same problem although it wasn't with the Megasquirt.. It was after I built the L6 up and tweeked the factory FI. The problem was the cold start, it was giving too much gas when the engine was warm. The main reason I installed the Haltech. Same symptoms yours has.. It thinks it needs more fuel because its "cold". Have you checked the sensor ?
  11. That looks similar to a turbo that was on an old WW2 plane.
  12. When I took metal shop back in high school, I could make a much better weld using a torch than the mig and an arc welder.. I liked using the torch better, I had more control.
  13. I have coated some of my personal parts and for some customers also... I have not seen any adverse effects...as of yet. Rubber can take heat pretty well, and I usually lower the temp a little and let it cure a little longer.
  14. Drag car... ok.. Street car = rediculous
  15. I took metal shop for 2 years in high skool... pretty fun class.
  16. Other six-point convictions include "failing to give a proper signal," "passing a school bus" or "driving with an obstructed view." The same $1050 assessment applies, but the conviction remains on the record for eleven years. Holy crap... I can understand the stopped school bus one... but the other two?? WTH are they smokin' up there ??
  17. Ok... I know it took forever, but I haven't seen the guy who told me about it for a while... I now have a contact name and number if anyone is interested... I'm just passing information.. The car is somewhere in the south (Alabama/LA/Miss) somewhere around there I think.. PM me and I can give you the info to contact the guy.. Ryan
  18. We have exhanged services on a number of occasions. Every transaction we have had have been excellent. I personally would recommend him.
  19. Cool... I have played Live for speed a few times but didn't know you could get a Z

  23. From what I have heard, playground sand is a big no no because of the silica. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000134.htm
