I have an early turbo distributor that came with my l28et. I am going distributor less and have no need for it. PM for info.

Hey Jamal, Thanks for the heads up on that one, but I feel that after buying it and having it shipped plus having my body/paint guy do his thing on it, it would come out to close to what my stock 73' would need to fix. It is half price weekend at the local junk yards here, and I found a decent 76' 280z hatch that I am most likely picking up tomorrow, if they are compatible with the earlier 73' 240z. Thanks again and good luck with the sales. Chris....

I am in need of a 240z rear hatch, minus the glass and weather strip. I just had my car blasted and hand stripped then primed, and the wavey and pitted condition of my hatch has shown itself from under all the bondo that was used. It would be far easier and cost effective for me to find a good straight, preferably rust free hatch frame, and hopefully in southern California. Anyone have one of these for sale?

Well, It's been a long time coming as I have been saving to have the car blasted/stripped down to bare metal and primed. I went over to my friend's house (Bob Rector) to snag a few pics of the just finished shell. It looks like a little bit of work will be needed to smooth out the hood and rear hatch and fill in some holes. The rear hatch has a small area of rot that needs to be replaced or possibly just find another hatch altogether if cost rises too much. I suppose I must give a sideways compliment to whomever worked on the car prior to me owning it as, although there were ample amounts of bondo in places, the time and over all shaping that went into the hood and hatch was amazing. Someone really spent some time getting the curves correct. I just had to bring this down to bare metal to, (in my mind) do it the right way. Next step, I will be applying the newly purchased Lizard Skin ceramic insulator and sound deadoner, then the body guy (Stuart Rule) will begin doing his thing. Still debating if this will finally be the first time sparaying a car for me, or having it professionally done, only time will tell. Finally moving along again after a long dryspell of inactivity.

I wish I could say I did more to my z today other than take pics of the freshly blasted and primed shell.

Two threads you can dig through would be the, 1- Rota group buy thread, (start from the back working in), 2- Post pics of your wheel thread. There have been pics of members cars with exactly what your looking for, just can't remember exactly where.

Boxed steel seat brackets pictures
Nelsonian replied to egzlilgituarboy9's topic in Fabrication / Welding
I had the original seat bracket setup cut when replacing the floors and frame rails. I had these fabbed up to mount my Lancer evo 9 seats to. I feel very confident that these will help add to the rigidity and are height adjustable with spacers. -
Ahh, my bad.

In the process of getting a well known vendor here to see if he can, or possibly make the clear turn signal reproductions. I was looking here for about two months, then found a set on ebay Australia for alot of money. I am still hoping that it is financially dooable for said vendor and the end product would be reasonable for hybrid members. Here is a link:http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/103379-what-products-would-you-like-to-see/page__st__40

I contacted ArizonaZcar yesterday and spoke to Dave in regaurds to what was the current info on these parking brakes. He admitted that he had let this languish for the last eighteen months due to priorities/schedule etc. He also said that the final prototypes were complete and should see this making major progress in 6 weeks again due to schedule/priorities, but rest assured they would see the light of day and not cost too much as well. I told him there were several of us here that are interested. I sure hope it all happens as mentioned.

^^ I second that statement , as John will do you right, he's a very honest, stand up guy.

Have you contacted AZC and asked if their parking brake is done with testing and ready for public use? I know he does not have any pricing on his web site, but without a current call who knows. I am in need of this parking brake as well. I did buy in on the original Woza first batch of custom rear parking brake, but sold the setup when I saw this from azc. Maybe I will give Dave a call tomorow to inquire. http://arizonazcar.com/parkingcaliper.html

That is one hell of a nice z you have there. I am loving the amount of detail and quality components going into this.

Here are two shots of mine in it's light blue somewhat current state, but will be sporting epoxy primer very soon, then silver. Here are a few that I have come across and saved their pics. Not sure the owners or I would give credit and mention their names.

That is Toyota/lexus spectra blue

I bought a used naca duct and surrounding factory recessed metal pocket/frame, plasma cut out from a member here. I then had the naca frame welded in to the hood so it looks as if it came from the factory, or it will very soon as body work is getting started within two/three weeks. I really like a clean and recessed look as opposed to just applying on top of the hood.

Post a pic or two of your cars condition. Without seeing the visual condition it's just a guessing game, but taking into consideration that you are surrounded by that glorious pacific ocean, I'd venture to guess that it is in need of alot of rust removal. I've had several "island beaters" on Oahu in the past that came close to falling apart. One was an early 80's Subaru gl that was owned by a researcher that parked on the research pier in Waimanalu facing rabbit island. You could almost reach into the car by the lower door panels. I didn't care as a highschool senior at the time, as long as it carried my boards and friends to the beach, it was all good.

Nelsonian replied to mclark999's topic in Body Kits & Paint
I just picked up some 3m 08116 panel adhesive and the needed 3m gun in preperation of the very near to be done bodywork. Hoping to have the car at the blasters by next week then the subtlez kit applied. Thanks for all the first hand good advice. -
Wheel Show! Post your pics of you wheels
Nelsonian replied to k3werra's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Along the similar lines as bozeforged.com, mentioned above, custom wheels can be made also by HRE, and Kinesis, but get ready to spend alot of money. -

Mark, As always with every new post your car absolutely floors me with the attention to detail you have put into it. I would love to know the name of that chemical polish and if it is accessable to a mere mortal, amature, hobbiest such as myself in reasonably sized bottles or industrial grande containers for large businesses?
