  1. I'm seeing more and more cars with hid and projector type lighting popping up in the junk yard. I'm considering makeing my own lamp, like another member did a while ago. I see newer q45's and newer mazdas all over the place. Anybody know any other make/models that would make a good canidate?
  2. Ed, I'm not sure what you mean by this comment. I tried to make it as clear as possible that I was simply offering him some advice from someone who has been around Ebay for a while. If your comment was a slight at the grammar or spelling I used in my post, I will be quick to point out that my post represents only my ideas and not a $9,000 transaction.
  3. Thanks for making me feel unsafe, that thing folded like a pop can. Please tell me you were doing at least 120 mph.
  4. Those definitely weren't 30's, 30's require a lot more "jacking" than that car had.
  5. Very cool car man. Believe me, I am very jealous, and the price is very fair. However, by reading your description, it appears that English is your second language? If I were buy something one Ebay, especially something as valuable as you awesome car, I would be a little put off by the grammar. Good luck with the sale. -Joe
  6. Needing more than a 7" wide wheel? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AE86-510-240Z-260Z-280Z-16x7-Datsun-Konig-Rewind-Wheels_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43955QQitemZ200094280331QQrdZ1
  7. After two pretty painful cuts I bought a pair of impact mechanics gloves off Ebay for $20 shipped; These actually http://cgi.ebay.com/Mechanic-Style-Work-Glove-by-Seco-Gear-XL_W0QQitemZ120057328777QQcategoryZ53293QQcmdZViewItem This may have been the best investment I've made in my life... seriously, hah.
  8. JSM is correct, the seller must file the claim. If the seller isn't responding I would cancel payment on them. I do a lot of selling on the net, and I can't emphasize enough the importance of communication, especially on Ebay.
  9. Grab one off of a honda cx500.
  10. I drove through oregon last summer. Coming from the midwest, I was in awe of the amount of datsuns in peoples yards! In my two million plus populous metro I am lucky to see three s30's a year on the street; by the time I had driven through oregon my neck hurt from straining to see all of the dats. It's not fair. Needless to say, I will be moving to the Northwest after school.
  11. I'm having a hard time believing that a stock 260 would be fender to fender with a 350.
  12. Errrrrrr.... I'm 22, never had an accident or a moving violation and my insurance is $580 for 6 months!
  13. I saw some overpriced bushing sets like for near $200 + shipping! There are several sites offering this same set for <$160. I've emailed the jdmwerks seller to see if I can get a set of illuminas with springs. He must have raised his prices because I can remember the sets being sold for $480, now the shocks alone are $410.
  14. I'm finally able to afford illumina shocks and springs and energy urethane suspension bushings. So, I log onto ebay expecting to see the usual ultra cheap prices for these products and I get nothing. What's the deal, anybody know where these can be had for ebay like prices? If I could afford the Black Dragon/MM/MA mark ups I would definitely support at least one of these great businesses, but I cannot. TIA -Joe
  15. Grab me a lsd z31 diff while your there, thanks.
  16. Your insurance guy checks out your gas tank!? For what it's worth, I run my EFI 240 with the stock tank.
  17. I'd look for rust everywhere, especially where the front section mates with the rest of the unibody. Also, some things to consider are what modifications have been made to the fuel system and the drivetrain. This turbo was installed as a kit? Is it EFI or blow through? If you're planning on doing a ground up resto anyway, this sounds like your type of project. The disassembly has pretty much been done for you.
  18. Not really the ultimate, but cool none the less. This car is pretty much legendary here in Kansas City. Quoted from local car forum: "So tell me this ... when you race a Festiva, do you either a) brag about "beating a festiva" or tell your buddy you "kicked a Festiva's butt"? You know, either way, you're going to look like a loser, so you might as well not talk about it. When Tim first came to me after buying a $400 car, and said the bugger was going to go 12's, I knew it was going to be COTM material. If there is one person in KC that is going to get a Festiva to go 13's or faster - it would be Tim. Funny thing is that Tim has been having so much fun with this little 4 banger, that he never gets a chance to bring out his real race car (10sec Monte Carlo). So, without more delay, I give you Tim R's daily driven Turbo Festiva (and no he didn't even clean it for photos). Engine Mods: Mazda B6T Swap K&N 2 ½" Exhaust Corksport ECU Nitrous (can't use with current clutch) Suspension Mods: Front Suspension Limiters It's a Festiva, what can you really do? Brakes: Stock, SP Crossdrilled & slotted rotors (Not for looks this thing really doesn’t stop!) Interior / Ice: Procharger boost gauge Wheels / Tires: Capri XR2 15x7 wheels 195.50.15 "
  19. What he said. You might consider flying to the coast and driving back. I got very lucky finding my car in KC, but for the price I paid for it, I could have picked up 3 or 4 s30's in Cali.
  20. One of the few things I haven't had the time to really F-up on this car
  21. You mean which is your favorite other than this one, right?
  22. Whats the point of the trying to mask the front and rear? That car has been on EVERY car magazine cover at least once in the last 2 years.
