  1. That is wild! looks like the tail lights stopped him from going over. Any pics of the rear of the car after that?
  2. 5 grand would buy a nice vacation to some place dry and pull home a nice Z shell.
  3. It's raining! 3rd day in a row we have had significant rain.
  4. Thanks for the response. I'll plumb in a vacume line.
  5. David, I noticed you don't have a vacume line to your regulator. I'm about to finally get my ls1 project moving and I was wondering about the vacume port on that regulator. I have the same regulator. Any thoughts?
  6. Mark and Roddy will do it right. If your car sees any track use, I'll bet you will need a surge tank. It goes anywhere between the gas tank and engine. It will be fed by a low pressure pump and the high pressure pump goes between the surge tank and the engine. Roddy will know.
  7. That one will work fine. You may find that you need a surge tank even with the baffeled 280 tank. It may starve for fuel below a quarter of a tank in a hard turn. Where in Charlotte are you?
  8. I'll bet my Z this will never happen because of water shortages.
  9. We are dry down here near Charlottle also. My 200 ft well is dry. It was used for irragation only so we can still flush. The local water table has dropped over 100 foot this year. I'm sure next year this time we'll be complaining about all the rain we have.
  10. Have you tried some of the spray on anti squeak stuff on the back of the pads? It has helped on my Z. Can you make a backing plate for the pads? I bet a backing plate and some of the spray on stuff would help.
  11. Anything I buy is used. I let some other sucker eat the first year or two of depreciation. Some remaining factory warrenty is a must for any car that will see daily driver use.
  12. Thanks for the kind words guys. This board and it's members have been a big help. It's an addiction an this board is my crack pipe.....
  13. I know the ZX CV halfshafts are different lengths but did not know the u joint type were also different lengths. Can anyone confirm this?
  14. Try competitive used parts. Used Nascar parts. I've bought parts from them before. About 15 minutes from me if you need me to eyeball anything for you. 800.560.9311 Concord, NC
  15. As said above, leave the hole at the lower rear of the door for the pivot. I'll cut mine similar to how you have drawn and mount the door handle inside the door on the part that is paralllel to the ground. Hope that makes sense.
  16. See if this guy has any left. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113300
  17. If the diff is already out, take the end caps off the CV's, remove the snap ring on the axel and remove the CV. No need to cut anything. A big hammer may come in handy to get the CV off the shaft.
  18. My post last night involved a 6 pack.
  19. I would have to take time away from my other job as an exoctic dancer and the cubic yard of hundreds is to replace the tip money.
  20. Where the fork comes out of the tranny, there is a coverspacer that covers the fork and acts as a spacer for the clutch slave. I had to buy one from the local chevy dealer. I think it was less than 30 bucks.
  21. ship me the parts and the car plus one cubic yard of $100 bills. I'll have it ready in 8 months.
  22. Just walk away. The guy is a scamer. He has been doing this for a long time. As a test, give him a deposit, your purchase will be caught in the "it'll ship next week" trap. You will not see your money again and if you are lucky, one day in the distant future you will get some really crappy parts. By the way, I'm not a fiberglass guy, just trying to spead the word and help you keep you hard earned dollars in your pocket not his.
  23. Carbon fiber porsche factory part $$$$$$$$$$$
  24. That is not the allison. Way to small for that.
