  1. Jon, I've ordered two rear spoilers from Paulo. The first was perfect. It looks great, very nice finish and fit like a glove. The second one fits great but the finish is not near as nice as the first. Some of the carbon fiber weave had been spray painted over to cover some defects and the clear coat was delaminating in one spot. Communication was great with the first transaction and spotty at best on the second. Both parts took 2 or 3 weeks to get after I ordered them. Just based on my experience, I'd order again if he had a part that I wanted.
  2. I guess I should read the entire post before I respond. I thought you were asking about a rear end set up only. John has some good advice there. His reading comprehension is much better than mine also.
  3. R 200 lsd with CV's. I'm putting similar numbers thru a Q45 diff. Building another car that will be track only and It's getting the r200 lsd and 280zx CV's.
  4. R-200 with an auto and 400 hp should hold up well. I've got the q45 diff in one car and I'm doing the r-200 on the second car. Many reasons. Too lazy to type.
  5. Good to see some guys can get it done. I'm impressed that some one can finish something. I certainly can't. The car looks mean as hell. Did you have to trim the lip any on those flairs for tire clearence? Did you do any type of inner fender liner?
  6. I picture this interview in my mind, new potential hire, has made it thru the interview process, I'm ready to hire and then the potential new employee says, one more thing, I need personal unrestricted access to the internet. I say the door is over there. The bottom line is I pay well above average and expect above average dedication, loyality, and performance. I have all that from my staff. On the other side, If I'm an employee and my boss has provided and excellent environment to do what I enjoy and takes care of me and my family, I do what the boss says. Not taking your comments personally, just discussion.
  7. I'm not losing out on hiring and keeping good employees. I find that statement absurd. I've got great employees that get along with each other and on top of that I like them. I don't know how you can conclude that I may be missing out on keeping good employees when the average length of service for my staff is over ten years. The internet is one of the best tools ever invented for increasing productivity. However, like any tool if it is not used properly, productivity will suffer. My business thrives because we know what we are doing, we work well together, we like what we do and we do it well.
  8. As a business owner with employees, it pisses me off that they think they can surf and have me pay them to do it. Now all internet access is time limited and only work specific sites are allowed. Key srtoke software on all computers will really discourage employees from checking mail and surfing. It is amazing how much more gets done around here now. I even have more time to visit this site!
  9. I like the look, 80k is steep but not too bad when you compare it to a lexus. The deal killer is the 50 mile range. It may serve to cover the average comute but how many people feel comfortable riding around in there car with only 2 or 3 gallons of fuel in the tank? I need a reserve. I can see it now, wife calls, car is out of juice again, I show up with the diesel pickup and trailer and tow it home to plug it in. I would love to own an electric vehicle that I could trust to haul my family around in for day to day stuff that eats up most of our fuel. Give me a 120 mile range and I'll sign up. Our gas bill each month would make the payments on that car.
  10. Thanks for the info. I'll look forward to hearing how it does on the open track.
  11. Good it see some one actually make progrress on a project. Looks great. How does the car handle with more rear tire?
  12. For those of us running track cars that are very low. This gives me an idea. Several of us have thought about raising the inner pivot point of the rear control arms. Something similar to this would allow that to happen. Rotate the inner tube 90 degrees and the inner pivot point is raised. Of course the control arm would need to be longer to accomadate the camber change and something to prevent rotation of the inner tube. Roddy are you listening?
  13. Damn fast food, not only does it clog my arteries, it rusts my car. French fry rusts car. funny stuff.
  14. VLSD's use the same type of gear oil as any other diff. I've ran 75-90 in mine on the track for years with out problems. The viscous part is a sealed unit that uses a silicon fluid to transfer torque. It is not serviceable as far as I know.

    I like.....

I like it. If I was a lot younger I might drive something like that.
  16. I like more tire. I've spent many years wishing I had larger rear tires. I'm running the 17 inch combo you mentioned but it is a track only car. I chose that size because the vette guys run that size and it will be available for a looooong time. For a dual purpose car, I used to run 225 17 on front and 245 17 on the rear. THe car was plenty fast and handeled well but the rear tires were always just a throttle blip from being a usless gummey mess wrapped around some nice looking rims. Both cars are V8 cars. If I were doing a dual purpose car again, I would run some ZG flairs and use 15 inch wheels and get some canilevered slicks and call it done. Good luck
  17. Scuff the trim with sand paper, not too course, clean with laquer thinner and use some decent rattel can paint. I've got drip rails that I did like that 20 years ago and they still look decent.
