  1. Dale, Thanks for posting this. Just checked mine and they have the same interference with the block. Looks like and easy fix. Thanks, Mark
  2. Bar Bells. No really, search the archives. There are several alternatives. Welcome, Mark
  3. Glad to your still here. Those were some nasty storms.
  4. Use the JTR stuff. You will be much happier. Buy the book from http://www.jagsthatrun.com It has the diagrams in the book for there mounts. Mark
  5. The guy that made these lost his machine shop source and no longer makes them. Several guys on here have made them and they are fairly simple to do. Maybe some one will post a pic. Welcome to the best Z board out there. Mark

    Jtr Ls-1 Pics

Just got them. Fit very nice, pics are just test fit. Welds are great and coating is beautiful. (I do have more room between my steering shaft and header due to the WRX rack.) Thanks Mike
  7. "Wife's" CTS-V. Four door sleeper that will move and handle with just about anything on the road. Has a lateral G meter in the dash. Personal best is 1.10 lateral G's on my favorite on ramp. Mark
  8. Is that the circut to the starter seloinoid? All of my circuts for the lt-1 were mainly to control the PCM. Mostly low amp stuff. The biggest fuse I have in my chevy fuse box in my Z is 20 amps and that if for the fan. I use the datsun start circut to power the starter. Hope that helps. If not post a circut diagram and I'll compare it to what I have done. Mark
  9. Mike, If I remember correctly they are from 94 or 95 cars. Not after 95 for sure. Mark
  10. How true, Sometimes it is much easier to just jam it in there and make it go rather than doing the heal toe dance. Incompentence cost money. I speak from experience. Mark
  11. The shop that did my t-56 had 2 Z-06's in for tranny rebuilds while he was doing mine. They will break when pushed hard enough. Mark
  12. I've had my t-56 rebuilt twice. Mine is a road course car. Both times synchro's went. Also ended up trashing third gear after a weekend of driving with out synchro's. I think a drag car would be harder on the tranny than a toad course car. Mark
  13. I made one years ago. Turnes out pretty good. Used a flat thin piece of aluminum and cut tabs and bent it in a bench vise using 2x4's as a break. Used the carbs as a template and hole saw to cut openings for them. Front bolted on the box thru the carbs where the air filters used to go. I mocked it up in card board first to get the dimensions right. Used JB weld to seal the seams from the inside. (an epoxy) Only took a few hours and it was cheap. Mark
  14. It sounds like a good deal. I own a couple of commerical places right now. Cost really doesn't matter if the numbers work. It sounds like property values are on the way up and the rental income will cover most of the payments. Also need to consider the cost of property taxes and insurance and the inevatiable repairs. When was the last time the HVAC was checked? Another thing to consider, If you are not around to keep an eye on the property you need some one that can, a friend, trusted family member or a management company. What is the interest rate the current owner will give you? If he dies, do you make payments to the estate, his heirs, or is the loan due? Food for thought. Mark
  15. Ross is a great guy. Top notch products and will stand behind what he sells. Can't go wrong buying his stuff. Mark
  16. If most of your driving is on the street just put a roll bar in it. If you really want a cage, come by my house and see mine. Also I know a NASCAR fabricator that does a sweet cage at a great deal. He just did my buddy's M3 for under a grand. 6pt cage with door bars. All tig welded. I'm just north of charlotte. Mark
  17. Tim, I don't know about the sensor.
  18. I've had a 2000 suburban and a 2000 Z 71 pick up. Both with 5.3. One had cable and one had throttle by wire. The throttle body looked the same except the suburban had the throttle control motor bolted on the side. Looked like it could be removed and replaced with the cable setup. Hope that helps. Mark
  19. Dry cleaners, for 30 grand you can have it all set up and get you money back in 6 months. Rest is gravy. This acording to a friend who is looking to open one.
