  1. These aren't crazy mods, its pretty common. Headers, shaved N42 intake, fuel rail and lines, different trottle body( prob. a 240sx one) wire tuck....Just search peoples build threads
  2. I doubt anyone would want the trans. Of the three engines that I had to sell, I had an easier time parting them out. I made roughly $300 for just the long block. I would try to sell it between $500-$700 depending on how worn it is.
  3. No. what kind of issue do you think it will cause? Its just some line. Just make sure it's fastened down tight and doesn't flail around. Is your paint job rattle can? It looks like it came out pretty clean
  4. You just missed strechnuts. He sold a complete setup. I got most everything but the block and his Megasquirt. Autospot is parting out a turbo car, and he's in the florida panhandle.
  5. Hang it from the rear view mirror
  6. Fronts have 6in backspacing and rears have 5.5in backspacing. On stock components they will hit I believe 4.5 is perfect for the rear, not sure of the front. You will need at least a 1in spacer on the back and probably a 1.5in spacer in the front
  7. If I was still in Burbank I would just give you one. I think I have 2 laying around and an almost complete gasket set for the bottom end.
  8. Separate your questions with spaces for easier reading. Like this. 1)Getting into welding will require a lot of down time especially since you are probably beginning to learn to weld. You can completely strip a car with a hand drill and a wire wheel and sanding pads. Its just really slow. 2)Me heater does the same thing, I don't care since it only takes like 5 min before I'm completely warm anyway. Ripping your dash out to fix it is again going to be a lot of down time( I would say a few days of on and off work unless you have nothing else to do) because while its our you may want to consider other things like putting on a dash cover, autometer gauges etc. 3)To get rid of the mechanical linkage, the most common way is people using the 240sx throttle body with a cable. 4)Yes you can do wiring repairs at any time. I think you just didn't ground it right.
  9. I would do it. Just know that its gonna have rust issues.
  10. What about something more...domestic? Mustang brakes or something.
  11. I"m sorry for your loss. Its hard I know. I woke up to my father passed away in his room. What kind of electrical problems are you having? If its minor stuff like some gauges not working that's normal for a 40yr old car. If its a good runner /driver it can be an easy $3k car.
  12. Old z, with a built sr20 with ac, azc brakes and suspension, os giken diff, full resto, carbon fiber hood/hatch/flares etc....
  13. radio shack....autozone.....an electronics store. its just a regular toggle switch. Its like $7
  14. psh to that push start button, go with a toggle switch because racecar
  15. If you really know that that is the problem then yes.
  16. RC fuel injection. They make injectors. $25 per injector, They will flow it before and after to show you the readings. They were "local" so it took literally 3 days to ship them, have them cleaned, then shipped back. They send them back in a box with new rubber lines, brass jacket things, and hose clamps and new gaskets. http://www.rceng.com/
  17. My friend just sent his of to RC to get cleaned and flow tested. $150+10 to ship.
  18. Depends. Are you a decent home mechanic?
  19. And you're sure it's a knock not a rattle? Rattle from the valvetrain is normal.
  20. Yeah I sold my stock manifold for $20, it was literally a stroke of luck that some guy needed it.
  21. That is almost exactly the two spots that my 2+2 rusted at. I brought them to a local welded and he just put in two plate for $75. Rear pass right at the seam: Front pass( you can see its hiding behind the fuse block): My frames were in better shape, but that is mostly because it was a cali car its whole life. I really recommend taking a wire wheel to the entire inside of the car. It only took me like 1 solid week. I sprayed some primer then covered with satin black. I thought it came out very sweet.
  22. I would picture that more in the $15-20k. He even says it has rust bubbles. Its not 100% original either
  23. PM Matt Cramer or call DIY autotune.
