  1. A custom made bracket. I believe a member here was/is making them.
  2. I would actually like the idea of just using z32 re drilled rotors and possibly even the calipers up front with some kind of adapter, one problem is I have s13 coils and I've seen other people do it and they had to orient the caliper all funny to get it to fit. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=2546.0 It would be cool if it could be had sub $500 One quick note, the earlier 280zx had a different rear setup that had the elephant ear caliper. That caliper had a different bolt pattern (smaller). the later 280zx's had a pattern that is the same as a 240sx/s13 rear. I have 16x8 0 offset up frontand 16x10 rear, but for DD I use the turbo swastika 15".
  3. Ok ordered the fitting and a new oilcooler. Should have everything in by wednesday.
  4. So I just bought a stock oil cooler from autspot. Its complete but the main part I was interested in was the sandwich plate. I want to run SS lines to a setrab oil cooler in front of my radiator, not in the stock location. I want to know if its possible to use standard to AN fittings instead of the banjo bolt setup. I haven't measured them yet, and I'm probably going to be heading to a local shop to see if they have something like that. The only thing that I can find from searching is LanceVance's fittings, which he had welded on. I might do that as a last resort, but would rather replace it with a 1/2" (or whatever size it is) to -8AN fitting http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/98995-280zxt-oil-cooler-banjo-lines/
  5. Definitely call john at beta. It is a matter of stiffening your suspension. The tokico HP's will blow away your stock shocks.
  6. SR20DET fully built, instead of rebuilding a stock L28 twice, once for my triple webers and once for my stock 280zx
  7. In the title, 81 280zx turbo that's not running. If you can get it for $750 that would be awesome. I bought an 81 turbo automatic with a blown head gasket but it turned over and ran, for $600. I made about $1000 off it.
  8. I ran like that for almost 2 years. And I don't have many pictures of it.
  9. why don't you just use flattops and an N42 head? Just wondering why you have an MN42 head. Sounds like you have it laying and just want to slap it on or something.
  10. I just think its funny because now that I don't need to deal with Cali smog I'd take an s130 any day for mess with. I would love an early 240z as a DD though. Just all original cruiser. Worst thing I did was decide to build my 260z engine. Ruined the street-ability of it. Still immensely fun, but I felt like a jerk whenever I drove it. I think they naturally look better. I'm actually looking at one now, but with gas prices going up I think I should keep my bike.
  11. Oh looking into getting an s30? what for? DD? or no smog?
  12. Which is the fancy word for the resistor that changes the blowers power. So is that a replaceable part or is it integrated into the whole assembly? edit saw it in the FSM. whole assembly.....fml. I can live with full power all the time
  13. Oops forgot that, no its the manual control.
  14. Does it shake when your cruising or when you are taking off? Did you change the old pressure plate too or leave it in? edit: how are transmission mount/diff mount bushings?
  15. So for the past few weeks or so my blower has been going in and out of service. Sometimes it would work normal other times it would be stuck on high( mostly when it was wet out) or it would cut out and cut back on in a mater of 30 secs while driving. I attributed this to the blower motor finally dying. So today I just replaced the blower motor, got it back in and it starts every time, but it only stays on high. Like I said before it would do this, and sometimes it wouldn't and sometimes it wouldn't even start, but now it turns on all no problem but only stays high. I'm guessing the resister that modulates the actual knob is either toast or shorted. If that is the case how can I fix it? or is it integrated into the controls so much that I need to completely replace the control panel? This is more of an annoyance then anything.
  16. Wiring in electric fans isn't that big of a deal. If you're planning on upping boost, I would look into an aftermarket radiator with a fan shroud.
  17. Search turbo conversion. Can be done for $600 or however much you decide to buy your parts car for. Can make 230whp on stock components easy.
  18. Also wouldn't hurt to throw on a lock washer.
  19. You could run a 205/55 or even 60/15 tire. The sidewall height makes a huge difference in comfort and performance. Bigger sidwall will "squish" more. I'm not sure if you're going for performance or comfort. I was running 15x7 0 offset with a 205/50/15 Some pics
  20. Why do they just use gears to drive the cams? any insight on that?
  21. Holy cow, googles that crossmemeber thinking it was like a modified one that some member did, not an actual product. http://datsun510.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=8005
  22. That shell is toast. Get a new shell and swap whatever you can. Angeles crest will do that.
