Man, that's a nice hood! I always wondered about those louvered hoods I would occasionally see....now I know where they came from! That's a great idea about going to the hot rod guy's house and having him do it for you. Davy

That Z06 is a sweeeeet car to put it mildly. If I had the money, I'd probably buy one. I don't think the Viper is any bigger, but it sure looks bigger seeing them on the pages and in person. I think GM hit the nail on the head with that Vette and I'd love to own one *sigh* Davy

Yes. And every post above yours that says something similar to it being 'scary' around those speeds is correct. As much as I care to "moderate," I have to take issue with those that say they have been over 135 in a relative stock Z car. Z's are by design pitifully unaerodynamic and it takes GOBS of horsepower to push it into the high mph zone. They get light and scary at speed and without some serious aero mods, someone could kill themselves... Just my $.02 Davy

That is by far the best looking "heat wrap" I have ever seen for a turbo. Extremely sanitary and effective looking. Price$ Tim???? I like the heat shields I see for the GN cars as well, but this is new to me and I think it would actually help get the heat out the exhaust better...golly. Davy

Cast aluminum all the way as far as I'm concerned. You could go steel, but that's a preference choice you have to make. I prefer cast, but that's me. I'm sure there are guys in this forum that use steel and make them work properly as well. Davy

That's what I did in a junkyard once (forgot the reason why I just had to get that hatch open, but I went through the interior and finally used a screwdriver to push the mechanism to the side and then voila, it opened. Come to think of it, I removed the tail lights, rear panel, license plate thingie, etc, etc. Davy
