Leon
The setup is looking good, I like the vision of the project.
Derek
So that valve has an adjustable bleed? Is that what I'm looking at?
tioga
Yes. Base idle is set at the valve.

I will try to set warmed idle at butterfly’s and at the ITB air bypass screws. Hopefully i can leave the IAC adjustable bleed closed Edited April 1, 2020 by DuffyMahoney
tioga
It’s Supposed to be set so warm idle gives a 50% duty cycle of the valve.
DuffyMahoney
Warm I want the valve almost 0% open
tioga
That’s fine but not how it was originally used. Having it open some just gives it more ability to actually give you a constant idle. The way you are going to use it You need to set it up with the motor at is lowest possible load, fully charged battery no accessories on, oil full temp, etc so it will never idle higher than when you set it. If you set it up at 20% duty cycle then it can always give your target idle under all conditions. What Ecu are you running?
DuffyMahoney
Haltech elite 750. I will set the butterflies first. Then I can still use the iac for a rock solid idle. But it’s normally perfect.
DuffyMahoney
Well it runs, but terrible. I have a massive vac leak, either from my balance bar not sealing or maybe a throttle body wasn't bolted down correctly, I had issues with one not seating well. Even with throttle plates in the fully closed position it runs happily at 900 rpms. So it's getting a ton of air from somewhere.

I was worried when I fired off my 3.2 , but it ran great - I call that luck -lol
DuffyMahoney
Well we finally got a block that passed sonic testing. It took 4 to get one that can handle the 88.5 pistons. N42 for the win! Thanks Andrew Kazanis! It’s going to be a sweet motor.

DuffyMahoney
Engine builder is removing the casting flash and de-burring the block today. Getting ready for Glyptol coating. Pretty neat. Edited April 20, 2020 by DuffyMahoney
ozconnection
Ah Ha....I thought I might find you here..You're 'always here' lol or so it says. DuffyMahoney
3.2L engine parts arrived from Rebello today! JE Pistons, Eagle rods and king race bearings. Rod bearing clearances are spot on. Marine Crank did a fanstatic machining job on my extra long stroke LD crank.
calZ
What stroke did you have it offset ground to?

LooseRocks
Did you have to send all your parts (bearings, rods, pistons, pins, rings) to your machinist for the dynamic balancing?
