What kind of paint do you want to go with? single stage 2 stage 2 stage: I would go with a peppermint grey base coat, with a candy carbon blue. Maybe something a little darker for the base. -
Uh, regardless whether those companies would make coilovers for our cars, you would still have to weld them in i.e. not bolt on. ground control makes some decent one. Well anyways~ mull, what's you plans for the car for the next couple of months?

Its a 30+ year old car. whatever paint would peal, has already and you would just need rough sanding the old paint and then spray a primer over the old paint. I understand that you want the car as perfect as possible, but stripping it, you might find a few surprises that you wish you didn't -

I feel yeah. The roof is gonna be a PITA to do "right," and the hood will be too, unless you have a 280z vented hood. IMO I wouldn't take it down to metal unless you are willing to strip the whole chassis, and then media blasting would be the best option, instead of by hand. Just strip areas, where you KNOW that there is rust -
there's a clip that slides in when you have it on the stub. If you look at the crank handle, you can 2 slots where its suppose to slot in. kind of a PITA to get on, if you have large hands

The VIN isn't really the issue that import inspection looks at (they check to see if it was stolen in the country its being transported from and too). Its whether that particular model chassis has been crashed tested by US standards and if the engine meets US emissions regulations. My uncle had his chrysler imported from Korea to Cali with no prob. (BTW cars in korea are LHD)

I would of just had it polished and them spray it with some clear.

I doubt there would be any issues. They usually don't allow certain models to be street legal, because it, or the engine was either never released in the US. If there is any issue (with any car being imported) Just to get it into the US, they have you sign a form stating that the car will not be used for street use. From my understanding, they send the form to the DMV

Thats actually the reason why I don't like it. When it gets cold (live in alaska) I don't like to clean the car But thats only in the winter. And the extra junk in the back will add more traction in the snow/ice

I didn't want to open another thread for this question and its related to the CA motor. Will a 5 speed from S12 fit onto a KA? A guy I know has a S12 with a grenaded CA (unsure of which one ) with a 5 speed.

I'm just concerned with the efficiency of the intercooler with it mounted like that on a non vented hood.

Should I V mount my intercooler for my setup? My setup is tube frame chassis up front with a KA24DE-t. I want to run a t3/t4, but willing to use a t28. Pics of my IC with the radiator and the car.
