  1. Why is mars red? Kinda funny answer. How about this old crusty that has been debated for years, is glass a soild or liquid?
  2. Ahh, but pound for pound, what is stronger, wood or any other man-made material? Also, what is the most abundant element in the universe? Mags, I always had a fancy for bio, your reads are waaayyyyy coool! One thing I learned in bio that stuck really good, penicillin was discovered by accident. Petri dish/open window and the rest is history. (Please correct if in error) These are things that have caught my fancy over the years, I'm doing old school and telling what I know without verifying (no internet for most of my life)
  3. Here is another, most of you may know this: There is no such thing as cold, just less heat. There is no such thing as darkness, just less light. The color black absorbs all color, where white reflects all colors. So the color red, absorbs all color except red.
  4. I never knew that! Have to add that to my lexicon of interesting trivia:)
  5. States of matter, not elements, though I thought the same thing for a moment.
  6. Soo cool, I did not know their was a fifth! Mags question interests me due to why cancer cell, (I assume antibodies) were used to create a vaccine. Plus added bonus, "stolen".
  7. We all know the 3 states of matter: Solid Liquid gas Anyone know the fourth? Hint:Makes up somthing like over 90% of most states I know about the internet, try not to look them up for the answer, or the questions. Also please keep them simple and related to everyday life:)
  8. I own a dark fiber company, wireless SUCKS! Anyhooo, you really should tell your neighbors that they are running naked. Someone could down load bad stuff through his network and the spot light will be on him. Make sure their is no chalk out on road or sidewalk;)
  9. I loved watching the old Mickey Rooney movies down at the magic lantern during the summer! Probably why I don't fear the outside of the old box!
  10. My Grandfather Sherman used to fly a p47 named sweet marian in wwII. Interesting enough he one of the frist to test a napalm bomb. I loved his stories, though he did not talk to much about them. He was clear for very high level of top secret.
  11. Great turn of events! Too bad you did not have some kind of security cam running!
  12. THat makes me hurt inside a bit. THe only one scarier was that hill climb somtime back.
  13. So many things have to be taken into account when running a company. You have a million dollar machine that makes you 500k a year, if something goes wrong you need it fix FAST! Exclusive machine, exclusive parts, exclusive man. Everyday it's production is down, off or slow is costing you money. If you hire the best (someone is fast, gets the machine back up and operational and RELIABLE for a reasonable amount of time will save you money! So, if it costs you 50k to have someone fix it in a day, (done so because of experience) you are back up and running your million dollar machine generating revenue. You losses could be deep if for 30k if your down a week! Now if the work fails in unreasonable amount of time, that 50k, lets say Tony received, becomes well, penitentially a deep loss. In this climate 50k become a very cheap price to pay and receive. The only thing that makes Tony money is just not skill, but a groping of intellect, common sense, drive, clarity in complex situation and so on. Also it takes great control over ones self to maintain this life style. Alot of men that have most but not all can drink, drug and stress themselves to an early grave, after they have destroyed there families. SO I propose that in some ways we are comparing apples to oranges. If you see money as oil to lubricate the machine, instead of a lust, you will find that bigger machines require more of it. It is really common sense. Jhonc is skilled, more then likely his estimates nail the jobs that would of cost him a loss and therefore he dose not need to make up revenue at the other end of the scale. His company is improving over all convenience to the area, city he lives in. Esp. the poor. Yes I know this may blow your mind, the better he dose, (gets richer), the better off everybody is. << A simple concept lost on so many today. As for Cygnusx, some consideration should be given on down time on that there machine of his, I personally think that would be fair. Call the dealer and try to negotiate.
  14. Ceramic coatings, meth injection, pumped gas. (maybe them there dimond shaped thinges) Of couse more study of coolent flow through head. This is my plan of attack................someday, I love my kids. Thank God I've got you guys to do the heavy lifting for me;)
  15. I have an uncle down in portland, someday maybe Paul will come out to see who's doing a smoky.
  16. Not only how close we can get to it at one point, but how closely can we stay to it from just below idle to red line. It's a really fun game, until you cross the line, at which point it becomes more educational, rather than fun. I soo had to laugh at this, well put, thanks!
  17. I used to really not like ford, inlue of recent developments, becoming a huge fan! GO FORD!
  18. So much mention of pressure and moaning is making me laugh a bit;)
  19. Wow! No port matching or anything?!
  20. Both my 82 and 83 that were drivable that I've owned, were power. When I get the car in more of a race condition, I will more then likely "bling" it some in order to keep the engine bay, ummm, cool looking and still maintain the convenience of power steering.
  21. Although I'm not a racer, I've need had a problem with my ZX's steering being nothing but crisp.
  22. Just a 2ct. Seems like they dedicated more flow toward the intake and exhaust side, or at least increased pressure in the later years. (hence the lack of passages on the spark plug side). Great pics!
  23. His pricing is set on the groupings. Someday, if he sells enough, he might break things out a bit. You have to consider that he was thoughtful of time, materials, desire (of certain parts) and above all......profit! ( Like any good capitalist:))
