  1. Ya know, the best stories in life are served hard. Nice thing, it makes other things easier. Fantastic story, I'm sure your wife will have a similar one, just not as intriguing to you. It happens.
  2. Look like sandstone. Not very hard stuff, great for carving!
  3. Ummm, you think that the car is getting too hot after 2mins? Smoke from work being done is not abnormal. I remember my frist.... Anyhoo, what is you temp gauge at?
  4. True enough! Thanks Tony. I may have to start calling them "ballstuds"?! Then again "studlyballs" may work...
  5. Dose not at least the hydraulic lifters, keep an upward pressure on the rocker during the lobe rotation? Even in other engines the hydraulic lifters really don't lift, the cam dose the work. With the exception above. The solid pivot dose not push at all, rather the rocker pushes down on the pivot point.
  6. Ever notice that their seems to be a lot of women, together, that frequent Home slutpo? I do like the place, although, I try to go to Zigs more often due to it being more local. Costco.....Accost the hoe Winco....Wanko Mcdonalds....splatdonalds Burger king....Burst your spleen Office....Orifice Rush on this one: school...Screwal Walmart...walfart For some reason I like to make up names, it is even funnier when my children copy me.
  7. Best of luck! Not to rain on your day, remember if the head is OK, then why the leak?....
  8. Ya I must be pushing mid sixties... One time I went to Ziggies wearing my climbing boots and shorts. They go up to my knees... When I returned my wife was very embarrassed, strange though, she was not even their?! GIT ER DONE!!
  9. He's thinking our pressure plate is sticking out and hitting the bell housing That would make more sense due to how "stuck" it was.
  10. Crud, copied the link after the other video started. Ill find the other one.
  11. Wow we can post here?! Anyhow I'm with Gollum on this one, missed ya!
  12. Yes....but do you have a Dennis the menace visiting you???
  13. Common problem. You stated that your turbo spools like a champ, after that I kinda ruled out exhaust leak. Glad you found it.
  14. Ya know, maybe he has gotten his hands on a proto capacitor that the world has yet to understand fully!
  15. 14K?!! Even if everything in the pic was included it is not worth that much. No pic of engine bay. Do you have to remove the body to get to it? Would love to see that 350hp inline!
  16. Ok I'm a little confused. Dan says I should reduce my COS error by extending the link from the firewall to the butterflies. Tony seems to be saying I should buy a house on the lake and get an old Chris Craft. Unfortunately in this economy I can only afford Dan's idea so I ordered up a length of hex aluminum to make a longer link. Derek That has got to be the funniest way of stating your thread has been jacked!!! Derek you have great sense of humor, thanks!
  17. As these motors are simplistically an air pump, I absolutely believe that your "air pump" is MORE efficient with the webers than the stock FI. The stock FI intake system is far more restrictive compared to the webers on a short runner manifold. You are definately able to supply more fuel AND AIR into the motor for better combustion. With a good tune, this better combustion with more air/fuel means more HP, and this results in more flow out the exhaust due to the motor running more efficently. You raise a great point here. I would add though, the ability for a complete burn of a smaller amount of fuel with X air will not change between the two systems. Just with the carbs you will could have more fuel and more X air, more power. You can do this with FI as well.
  18. this is just duct-tape, rattlecans, and hammer technology here. Some pretty amazing things have been found that way. Look at some of the great info that was found out. Even "did not work" is an improvment.
  19. Beautiful car, looks similar to the 959.
  20. Input shaft bent? Any metal shaving on piolt, clutch disk splines or input shaft? Something seems amiss here. I would leave it apart and cogitate, measure, cogitate, repeat. This tranny was mated to that engine before and moving, correct? Starter gear moves freely? The nose of the starter does not show scraches? Fly wheel the same? You have such a big bind that it really dose not seem that it would be just a tight fit of the input shaft. Did the tranny and engine mate up together with out much trouble? Did the alignment of the tranny and engine cause a bind on any other parts of the drive line, check Ujoints.
  21. I know this thread is done, but I just thought of something. Microphone covers resist air, yet allow for sound to penatrate, I believe.
  22. I pulled a couple of dowels a while back, very soft metal. Very soft. If you are worried enough, just upgrade the bolt to something harder.
  23. Make sure you lube everything up upon re assembly. Anything dry, dragging can cause microscopic tears which can lead to premature failure. May take along time, but it will.
  24. Hard to believe that is just a 100plus years. Now watching it over high speed data lines on computers.... Really not long ago,,,not at all. Funny how somethings don't change much, all those goofs trying to get on camera!!
