  1. Congrats on getting the LSD unit installed, but just curious why you chose to go to a 3.90 on a turbo car...
  2. I saw these on good ole Ebay, and would be all over them if I had another Z to put them on.... Just thought I'd throw them up here just in case anyone was interested... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=150018236357&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
  3. Lookin good John!! I hope the DR's can handle the powwa!! Mike
  4. Check and see a couple of things... 1. There should be a green light in the ecu when the key is in the "ON" position 2. Make sure youu are getting 12 volts when cranking as well. I remember, way back when, I had power to the ignitor and injectors when the key was in the on the ON position, but no power when cranking. Regards, Mike
  5. Congratulations!! It looks and sounds awesome!!
  6. You're not going to hurt my feelings. There's no way I would trade my 2JZGTE for a turbocharged 2.8 BMW motor!! 700rwhp on any motor is a beautiful thing though. Sometimes I wonder why I decided to do the built motor as my stocker was running fine...
  7. Right on Gabe!! It looks awesome. Just in time for SEZ...
  8. If Webcams can do it, then by all means use them. It doesn't make much difference to me whose name is stamped on the product I use, just as long as it is effective. Mike
  9. 4* LOL I can only go on other's experience on that one. Without giving up any speed secrets of some of the high power L28's around the board, a 114* lobe center is what they are running. that is why I chose to run it. You may want to give James T a call. He ran a Web Cam in his TT L28.
  10. I ran 490 lift intake and 480 lift exhaust with 114* lobe centers. If memory serves me correctly, I believe she told me that she could do the 110* when she called me back, but that was not what I wanted, so I chose to go down slightly in lift and get the LC's that I was looking for through Isky.
  11. I tried to order a #87 grind with 114 degree lobe centers from them before. The sales lady said that they could do it. I guess she didn't talk to the cam grinder first, because a week later they called me back and said that they could not do it. That was when I called ISKY... Hopefully they'll do it for you. Mike
  12. Another thing that you may want to check is see whether your crankshaft pulley bolt has backed out. I'm with Tim, verify timing. It is also possible that the outer ring where the magnets are attached has spun (It only takes a few degrees to throw the timing off). I have had both of these instances happen when I was running SDS. Regards, Mike
  13. I'll try to get with you tomorrow night... mike
  14. I still have a pair of the black mesh 16" HRE's that currently have my DR's mounted to them... I was considering selling them to go to a 15" wheel if it will clear my Arizona Z Wilwoods...
  15. Which model HRE are they? Maybe someone knows someone else who has a complimentary pair... Mike
  16. Marko's car is impressive. I'm working on it, but I'm not going to make 1500 hp!!
  17. John, I can see where you are coming from. I suppose since it is the HybridZ site, the database should consist of HybridZ's.
  18. VQ35 might make an interesting swap as well...
  19. I dunno... I think long time members such as Scottie should be able to post his GN7 times... I guess there is a fine line there on who should and shouldn't be able to post their times... Maybe a moderator should have to approve any non Z-cars based on their content contribution to the site. just my .02 Mike
  20. LOL! Sounds like my old 77 daily driver 280zt I have run the SDS and it worked flawlessly for me. I have now run the Electromotive TEC II on both my L28 and now on my 2JZ and have had no issues with it either. If you can find one, the TEC II is a very capable unit. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the TEC3R, but you can get into one for under $1000 if you hunt around. I have a TEC3 (everything but the ECU itself) waiting in the wings and will probably install it at some time, but my TEC II works great, so it'll just have to wait. If it isn't broke, don't fix it!!
  21. Awesome guys!! I'm glad to hear a so far so good on the CV's. I look forward to seeing repeated hard launches and seeing how they hold up.
