McKinney engine mounts are proven and work well. Cxr mounts work but I have seen some that have failed. Not a well designed part imho.

GT3076r will definitely get you to that goal but you need some supporting modifications. And if you are just worried about power and don't mind a bit of lag, the Holset HX35 might be a much cheaper option for that power. If you don't run water cooling to the turbo, more heat will be transferred into the oil, so you will need a larger oil cooler and oil pump. For more air, you need more fuel, and the stock bottom end on RB25det is generally "safe" to 350hp, so it would probably behoove you to beef up the bottom end some. The list goes on. Here is a manifold that would be nice, but the price is out of your budget. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/115757-new-raw-brokerage-billet-twin-scroll-top-mount-turbo-manifolds-for-the-rb20-rb25-and-rb26/ When I was looking around for a manifold I noticed that there is a huge gap in the market, between the $500 ebay manifold and the 2k+ quality manifold. So getting one custom made might be your best choice if you know someone with the skills.

Adaptronic vs AEM S2 w/Rawbrokerage promod turbo
theczechone replied to Vandergriff84's topic in Nissan RB Forum
ah are you changing the angle on your intake flange so you have more clearance for the throttle body? I am an engineer at a powertrain company up here, so I have some access to calibration and controls engineer friends so i hope to leverage that. It'll be a while before the dyno runs. The goal right now is to start it, and confirm that all the systems are functional, then I will pull the engine and the whole car has to go to paint. Fine tuning and dyno runs will happen at the beginning of next year realistically, so i don't think you want to wait that long. I assume you read this thread: http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=511084&page=2 If you look passed the B.S. in the thread the guys numbers actually make sense. Here is quick calc. of the pressure required to make 328 HP. -
A wideband is something I am still missing but will be getting really soon, actually bidding on one on ebay right now. But I will definitely have it before starting the engine What is the benefit of knowing the EGT? I'm definitely motivated and would rather do it myself for the sake of it, you definitely bring up some good points and the last thing I want to do is blow up the engine. The map shown in the ECU is 3D based of load, rpm, injection pulse. What establishes the load? Thank you for the advice. I'll update how it's going

Yeah I have the same problem, my q45 throttle body clears just barely, i think i may modify my wheel well to make it fit, not sure yet.

So, I bought my swap from a member on here (wizardblack) and it came with V500 ecu. I am a total noob to tuning and as I am approaching first fire, I could appreciate some advice. I downloaded the base maps from wolf's website, but it seems to be limited in data. Do I just need to take the car to a professional to get it tuned or am I capable of doing it myself? I am pretty comfortable in programming so I think it would be similar. Is there some good reading anyone can suggest? The engine: RB25det S2 - Stock Coils - Evo 8 fuel injectors (440# I think) - Walboro 255 fuel pump - Aeromotive FPR - Stock internals - Pro Mod turbo by PureTurbos - No MAF, intending to use Wolf's internal MAP sensor - Freddy Intake w/ Q45 throttle body Target: 300-325HP, but right now I just want it to run reliably. Thanks for any help.

Adaptronic vs AEM S2 w/Rawbrokerage promod turbo

So I still haven't been able to fire her up, so I can't report on how it works. I did get a line kit, as the oil pressure to the turbo is crucial. It requires more oil then the factory, pureturbos specified that the restriction orifice should be no smaller then 0.065" so be aware of that. The fact that we average 0 degree Fahrenheit temps has made it difficult to get out in the garage and work on the car so the progress has been slow. I have a Wolf V500 ecu, that suppose to be very similar to the AEM unit, but to be honest I am complete noob in tunning. I got the base map so I should be able to fire her up once I finish all the wiring and IC piping. -
Nice seats, did you ever fit up your intake? I didn't think of it then but I remembered that I have a spare adapter for RB25 throttle body to Freddy intake. If you need it, let me know.

I guess I got 3rds....

For your drive shaft you might be best off taking your RB25->S13 shaft and your stock 280Z shaft to a driveshaft shop to have them cut and welded together. Only thing they need is a dimension from the back of the trans to the differential flange.

Hi, I have inherited wizardblack's RB25det swap in June. I have been slowly putting everything together. Now I am working on the wiring harness and although he has done quite a bit of the work for me already, I am missing a couple of things. Am I correct in thinking that i could put any SPST type relay in place of each of these two relays? FYI, this is a series 2 RB25det with wolf v500 standalone ecu and the plugin harness. Thanks for your input

PM's replied to, I don't need the under the dash and engine wiring harness so I don't want to pay for those. Let me know what you're looking to get out of it.

Hi I need a harness for the back of the car (taillights, side markers, etc.) in good shape . Please let me know what you have. My zip is 48178.

Adaptronic vs AEM S2 w/Rawbrokerage promod turbo

I recently bought the a pro mod style turbo from pure turbos. pureturbos It took them 4 weeks to get it to me, but now that I have it, I am very happy with the work they did. Before I bought from them I contacted raw brokerage through Coolwhip on this site, and this is the info I got on the pro mod turbos: theczechone Sent 04 June 2014 - 06:17 AM Hi, I noticed that you are associated with Raw Brokerage and I had a few questions. I am interested in the RB25DET Pro Mod Billet Turbo Upgrade. Core charge, what condition does the core need to be for you to accept it? Turbo Performance, do you have any dyno data available on this turbo charger? Compressor map? Availability, how soon could I expect my turbo if I order by the beginning of next week. Thank you, and sorry for bothering you if you are not the right contact for this. Coolwhip Hi there. Core must be in rebuildable condition. So must have good housings and wastegate. Wheels can be damaged along with center section. We don't have any base dyno sheets available since every setup has differ (fuel, injectors, boost level, engine build components, engine management, etc.). No compressor map available either, sorry. Most customers find a reliable 400whp on a 9.0:1 CR RB25 ~18psi with supporting mods and solid tune. Turn around time is roughly 4 weeks from the time we receive your turbo. This time changes as orders come in and out so a more accurate turn around is given upon receiving your order and core. Hope that helps. Ricky theczechone Thank you, That does help. Now about ordering. Do I just order through the site? Do I have to pay the core charge and then you'll reimburse me when you receive the turbo? Or do I send in the turbo and then make a call to make the order? Is there a place where I can mention you for helping me order if I order online? Can I pay through paypal? Thanks again for all the help theczechone Sent 11 June 2014 - 07:28 AM Any info on this? Thanks Coolwhip Sent A week ago Hey extremely sorry about not seeing this message previously.. To answer some of your questions: As of recently, Pro Mod Turbos are not available for online purchasing. Due to extended turn around time frame of 8-10 weeks on these to get built. If providing a core, you must provide it before hand. We will modify your core and return it back to you. If not, we will provide a core and build it to order. I can set your order up if you like, just email me at ricky@rawbrokerage.com or give me a call at the shop (407) 538-0098 Thanks! Ricky -
I've got a shell available in southeast michigan.

Teemu, your car is beautiful, nice work too btw.

Trust header, about 35mm primary (OD) and dual 48mm outlets. Should be careful with the Japanese headers, some will not clear steering shaft on LHD cars. This one does thou

I would give a call to raw brokerage, or even contact a member on here who is associated with them (coolwhip, I think). They deal with RB stuff a lot it seems. Also might want to try posting a wanted add on zilvia forums.

Understood. mine already came with the Q45 so I am just going to use it. It seems ridiculously big thou, I feel like you could shoot softballs out of it.
