  1. Actually I believe that the bue injectors are 39's and the green tops old style are 42's.
  2. Thanks, I will give that a try! I'm already a member of that forum, I just avn't posted much I used the site for info. Being Canadian should help as well.
  3. My goal is 600 whp. Do you think the 8an feed will be enough. Not sure how much fuel the car will use under full throttle. I was discussing the large return fuel line with a friend today. His personal car is a 1000 HP gt500. He said for very high HP street driven car the return line should be at least the same size. If your cruising down the street 90% of the fuel is returned to the tank. The line has to be big enough to support that amount return fuel. If you almost maxing the feed line and the return line is too small you could have some issues. He said over sizing the return was never required.
  4. Ive always run a larger feed than return on my mustangs. I usually run #8 feed, #6 return, pretty much standard for a fuelie car.
  5. Motors not that much heavier. I'm fearing the 17X9" rims and manual steering. I need to geta power rck if they make one.
  6. I dont feel like cutting the car up when its not needed. I have found my solution. I will be using Aeromotives stealth in-tank setup. basically you drill a hole in the top and install one of these pumps in the new location. It come with everything including foam. I run the same 340 LPH in the mustang and its quiet.
  7. Same, let me know prices on carbon and fiber pls.
  8. Looking great! Those are the wide flares by the look of it. What rims offset did you go with? The flares fit perfect?
  9. right place right time. Awesome score. I'm afraid to ask how much it set you back?
  10. stock motor datsun are as fast as my wifes stock civic SI which is pathetic. Sounds like you need a camaro or a mustang. If your bnot willing to put the time in, sell it and buy something ready and running.
  11. Here in Toronto there area lot of import dealers. I bought my Aristo engine and auto tranny for 1500 canadian. I picked up an R154 and flywheel for $800. I picked up a second hand used but new swap kit for 1000 (1500 new) which included motor + tranny mounts plus driveshaft. so $3300 for the driveline and items needed to install. Not bad in my books. On to the wiring next. then install in the summer. There more support and imo more easilt attainable parts for the 2J. I went though the same thing and I ended up going 2JZ
  12. First off, I not trying to be a jerk. What have you accomplished in 7 years? If its very little then you just not putting the effort into the car and it will never be done. If this is the case you have 3 choices. Sell the car and buy one that completed already. Nothing wrong with that option as all of us are not inclined to completely build up cars. 2 Pay a shop to work on the car, At the end of ym last project I wanted to finish car but I knew I would be able to do it in time. I contracted a shop to rewire the car and do the entire brakes plus a few other things. It was expensive but the car was finished. Third is get off you ass and work. Building these cars are not always easy and they require dedication and hard work. If you dont put the time in it will always be a pile of parts in the garage. Set small realistic deadlines. Work on it an hour a day. Even the small tasks add up. Good luck with what ever your decision is. Its a long hard road but in the end you will have the pride of something you have contributed to owning. From experience; I have found the road to the destination is just as good as the final project.
  13. Thats good to hear. Little Honda kids get on my nerves. Everyone entitled to an opinion but they should have at least sampled all type of vehicle before making a judgement. Take a look at the new Coyote engines. 5.0L produces 83.2 hp per liter. Ford claims volumetric efficiency of 110 percent at peak torque rpm and around 100 percent at peak power rpm decent for a volume production engine. BTW of love the way the Coyote sounds.
  14. No clue what a pinning dorito is? Why is it you always have the need to take a shot at something non import? I find that most of the people that do only have a one sided experience. You should try owning both like myself. It would open your eyes to the advantages and disadvantages if each
  15. Whitehead is taking a set..... interesting. I will just make the trip to the Tdot to pick them up directly. no shipping
  16. Really? I would just drop a turbo LS and be done with it.
  17. Thanks. You've been a great help.
  18. Excellent. I think I will mod the stock harness to get it up and running. I emailed the person your talked about above and he is saying $500-$600 to make a harness. Were sorting the details right now. I am still considering modifying the stock harness if its as easy as you say
  19. You have a brand for me to research? The one I was look at (Apexi i think) had to be spliced into the wiring harness.
  20. OK thanks. Looks simple enough to get the harness up and running. Thanks! As far as the ford ecu is concerned, its works amazingly. Japanese dont want you to modify the ECU while ford promotes it. I mean why a entire separate harness just to control the fuel injectors? really? They even sell a kit that allows you to install a coyote motor in your car. Plug and play factory hotrod harness. My all aluminum 4.6 4V Teksid block was made by Ferrari, rods and pistons are Manly forged units, can remember who makes the forged crank. The head almost flow 300 cfm and are stable to 8500 rpm from the factory without even a spring change. My little 281ci motor set at 9 psi on the stock eaton blower makes 460hp and 440tq on 91 octane. Stock engine can handle 750 whp safely on pump gas, but I have seen over 1000whp many times (race fuel) and big blowers or turbo. This isn't some 1970's carburated push rod engine. Car drives like stock, no clutch chatter, gets 24 mph with drag gear. A precision hammer lol!
  21. Same here. Stuck inside, collecting parts, waiting for the big melt.
  22. Thanks for the info, its always appreciated. I assume there is a separate sensor or wire that must go back to the ecu to tell it cam position? So your saying the 2jZ stock ecu equipment is superior to ford's design in what way? Seems to me that its inferior and limited? I though that why everyone switched over to aftermarket ecu's when making big power because the stock ecu can't handle it?
