  1. I'm replacing mine with 18 gauge as well. These cars are rust particle holding hands I swear. The end result is good though.
  2. Beautiful car. 20's with 30 series tires must ride pretty rough. Is the car on coilovers? What the clearend from the borrom of the chassis to the road with 20's on? it must raise it up quite a bit?
  3. You get the vats turned off? Glad to see it started up
  4. wow.....and at a bargain price too.
  5. Very nice. Congrats on getting the car running and congrats on grad!
  6. If you start making door panels please consider a 5.25 or a 6.5 raised area for speakers. Love my Datsun but the stereo really is lacking
  7. I picked up a camaro plastic tank to use. I will be going that route myself.
  8. Stock complete plastic tank weighs more than the stock 240 tank. Not sure about the metal tank
  9. Seriously guys. I appreciate the help. This fixes so many trail and error problems that go along with these types of builds.
  10. unless your using the one as a vent for the fuel tank still?
  11. I'm swapping in a 05 L33 in my 71. What cam did you choose?
  12. Subscribing to a very interesting build.
  13. Thanks for the help guys. Clarifies things for me.
  14. Cars very nice, almost perfect to my like except the wing and tire lettering. Looks like an awesome build. I would love to see more pics found more pics http://www.stanceworks.com/2015/04/the-reason-were-here-riley-stairs-ls6-powered-1974-datsun-260z/
  15. I'm from Ontario, but here a fresh rebuild cts-v T-56. Looks like a shop and he may ship. cts-v tranny is longer then the camaro version. Motor will have to be shifted forward or some other mod to get it to alight with the stock shifter hole. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-transmission-drive-train/hamilton/6spd-t-56-manual-transmission/1036111293?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
  16. What 7/8 Master did you use then? Lets see if I have this straight. So I'm taking the threaded rod from the Datsun master and welding the threaded end on to the new 7/8 master rod. Seems simple enough.
  17. There very hard to fin.; I just paid 2200 for a stock rebuilt unit including the driveshaft. The CTS-v are longer , same with the new camaro TR6060 (3.5" longer the LS camaro)
  18. Just picks up my T-56 and I was wondering what everyones clutch master setup is. Can you list the clutch master used. Last swap still had a cable clutch so this is a little new to me.
  19. Your build is a shining example of forethought and quality. Everything looks well constructed. Very impressed. Must feel good to drive it after 6 years.
  20. Thanks for the info. I not far behind your build and mine is very similar. I pretty much knew that I would require an intake swap. I wanted to fit the Holley mini-ram intake but its about as high as the truck intake (just under 10" tall). I'm trying to find a solution to a low mount alternator or a passenger side mount. If you figure anything out let me know. I dont want the expensive of buying the camaro accessories.
